Well I have to apologize to you folks who read my post about the post office. Seems I was wrong. I said the Post Office has to fund 50 years of pension. That was wrong. It's actually 75 years of pension health benifits for every current, past and future employee to be funded within a ten year window.

Now that is just totally reasonable. No boby is trying to kill the postal service.

I wonder did Daryl Isa require that of Fed X or United Parcel?

The fraud isn't by the Postal service, it's being perpetrated against the postal service.

Do you have a link for that? That sounds unbelievable.

If that is really true, which, no offense, I don't believe, you're right. If true, somebody's planning on using that surplus as a piggy bank.

Of course you know that Fed X and United Parcel are private companies?
Daryl Isa did not set the requirement congress did, right?

It's called the"Postal accountability and enhancement act."

Signed into law in 2006.
Original proposed legislation didn't have all those extreme measures but Bush threatened to vetoe bill unless those measure I spoke of was included.
So if you want to research it there is a starting point for you.
I've read many articles from both sides of the political spectrum and essentially those are the facts. Each side tries to move the argument in their favor. But thar's one thing I like to do for balance. I read the lead stories in the New York Times and in the Wall Street Journal. But tonight I've been reading many sources on the internet and none deny the facts that the bill requires the Postal service to establish 75 years of pension funds in as little of ten years. No business can operate like that.
