Donald Trump said that he would veto Sander's Single Payer bill. I wonder if there is something more going on behind the scenes?

On at least 6 different public appearances, Donald Trump has gone on the record to say that he supported a Single Payer health care system. Most recently, in February of 2016, at a CNN Town Hall, he mentioned health care coverage, very similar to Sander's proposal.

There's gonna be a group of people at the bottom, people that haven't done well, people that don't have any money that won't be able to be taken care of. We're gonna take care of them through maybe concepts of Medicare. We have hospitals that aren't doing well. We have doctors aren't doing well. You cannot let people die on the street, OK? Now some people would say, "That's not a very Republican thing to say." Every time I say this at a rally, or even today I said it, once again a standing ovation, I said, you know, the problem is everybody thinks that you people as Republicans hate the concept of taking care of people that are really, really sick and are gonna die.

All six instances are covered in the above article. Most are much more direct opinions than the CNN Town Hall. The majority of Americans favor Single-Payer, and it certainly wouldn't hurt Trump's approval ratings, to accomplish something of this magnitude.

Trump changes his positions more often than a indecisive porn star.

He should have said - "than a good porn star". And Trump would probably know about that.

Or Ted Cruz given recent events. Trump moves around on a lot of positions. He is steady on a few like the wall and tax cuts for the wealthy, but most of the economic populism stuff was for show.

Be aware that the alt left here hyjacks your thread when they are confronted with intelligent posts.

Trump is astute enough to see the Sanders crowd as what it is - democrats who gave been abandoned by their party. If Anyone can create a third party, it's Trump. IMO, he is already the new third party.

BTW, single payer is a non- starter.

I find your post confusing. Would you like to explain further? Do you think there may be something going on, behind the scenes?
