Well actually I have experienced more right wingers calling me a commie and all sorts of hateful terms because I don't think we should be the worlds policeman, I think we should be fiscally responsible no matter what party is in charge at the time, and because I think the government should stay out of the person lives of the people.

In my experience there is a lot more hate mongering among the right.. than the left currently. in fact with all the hate being spewed on the right.. its hard to admit that you are a conservative right now.. much less a republican.

The question isn't whether the article amounts to satire, but rather why it does.

Simple-minded liberals will reply "because it's The Onion" - if it didn't have The Onion banner on it, they'd actually believe every word of it - ie. there are plenty of liberals in real life who actually debate in the way this guy describes. They actually believe their schoolyard/barnyard level of noise amounts to convincing arguments - and of course it doesn't.

Conservatives are the real snowflakes because they constantly bitch about how liberals are condescending assholes with their fancy book learning and college degrees.

not what snowflake means... simple bitching isn't being a snowflake. It's people that literally lobbying for a safe space in college campus's, literally need cry rooms when their ideas are challenged, literally have college classes that do not have grades, because grades are too stressful, literally need to take time off college exams to cry because a president was elected, literally came up with the term "microaggressions" which is the epitome of making a big deal about absolutely nothing...

no conservatives are not the snowflakes, they have a LONG way to go to even be climbing the same mountain as you progressives.

Conservatives are the largest snowflakes on the planet. Evidence by them always playing the victim card around here. that mean liberal hurt my feewings, I don't like his tone. He insulted me. Grow up. I never once complain about the rudeness of other people, but conservatives ride their pity party float all the way to snowflake town.
