Clinton's Book

He was a Third Way Democrat. He shifted the party towards the center.

Oh, I thought you meant Hillary.

Looks like I need to read more about Third Way Democrats. But wasn't the party already shifting toward the center after so many Democrats became Republicans under Reagan?

The party was definitely shifting, but Clinton basically put the stamp on it. Bernie essentially created and woke up a lot of New Deal Democrats, and that's why we have this fight going on right now. Hillary was pushed left during the campaign for sure, but her economics are still pretty Third Way. She has talked about taxing the wealthy and argued against the TPP, but it fell flat to me given her record.

I think she should bring out a new book every year. The number of strokes and heart attacks on the right must be colossal!

Hillary’s Message To Dems: Don’t Give Bernie The Keys - POLITICO Magazine

Because that's what this is all about, Clinton Corps offense that Bernie does not care for this failed Democratic party which they have been in charge of for over 20 years, and he needs to pay for his tarnishing of their brand (In the warped Clinton minds). This is not about what is best for America. This is not about what is best for the D party. This is about the Clintons getting the retribution which they are sure that they deserve for Bernie messing with Hillary's destiny, just as that nobody Obama did.

With the Clintons is was always all about them, it was never about us, never about making America Better.

Nothing politicians do is about the people. It is always about the gaining and maintenance of their power and control. I can't imagine why anyone other than Clinton cares about her sour grapes. C'mon politicians. Shut up and do something useful.

Personally, I think both Trump and Hillary Clinton were in this for themselves. Neither one about making America better. It was my opinion last year that regardless of who won, they would leave office with America in much worse shape than when either on entered. Hence, I voted against both of them.

I dont agree but let's say you are right.....the difference then becomes that the R Elite overwhelmingly had no use for Trump but the D's were all in for Hillary....the the point that they tried to make sure that she did not have to do a primary......which makes the D's the bigger failure.

Failure is in the eye of the beholder. It's like two NFL teams, one goes 8-8 and the other 7-9. Both miss the playoffs, which team was the bigger failure? Both failed. Perhaps one could say the 8-8 team was the bigger failure if that team was predicted to make the playoffs and the 7-9 team to win only 5 or 6 games. But to me it is rather irrelevant.

I still think both Trump and Clinton were in this for themselves regardless of the rhetoric each spouted.

A team failing with bad play calling and a team losing with good play calling are not equivalent. The failure of leadership, the failure of management are not equal.

Regardless of the reason, it was my opinion and still is that this country will be far worst shape in 2020 than in 2016 regardless of who won.
