What Martin Luther King and Malcolm X(in later years) were pushing for was EQUALITY. They wanted blacks to be treated equally, and given equal opportunity. They wanted blacks and whites to live together in this country and get along. They didn't want us to focus primarily on skin color! They wanted a world where we judge people PRIMARILY on content of character, not race! But what the modern, Democratic party-approved 'civil rights leaders' are pushing, is preferential treatment, based entirely on race("affirmative action"), which means the intentional discrimination against people of the "other races", such as whites, Jews, Pakistanis and Indians, Asians etc.
But they are also pushing a new and dangerous notion that your 'identity' dictates the value of your thought, your ideas and your 'feelings'. YouTube is filled with leftist professors, teachers, elected officials, and LOTS of left wing activists everywhere, who are pushing that exact notion that identity(race, religion or sexual preference) should be the #1 factor in whether or not your thoughts and ideas have merit!
The radical leftist groups like BLM and Antifa, both supported by the media and progressive elites, are on video, publicly making statements like "white police officers are targeting blacks for assassination", and even calling for cops to be killed. All of that is largely omitted by the media. But it's all over youtube! You have videos of Antifa involved in arson, rioting and violence(largely minimized, ignored or even praised by the media as heroes of freedom and democracy!)
We also see radicalized black, Latino, and white college students publicly calling for racial segregation, so that blacks can be among their own. The left constantly focus on race and they make almost everything about race(or sexual preference etc). All the left wing movement is accomplishing is to intentionally separate us by race, religion, sex, sexual preference, etc, and all of it benefits them politically. That's the opposite of what MLK was promoting.
