Trump VS The Media

OK show me that quote

Here you go.

“You had many people in that group other than neo-Nazis and white nationalists,” Trump said. “The press has treated them absolutely unfairly.”

“You also had some very fine people on both sides,” he said.

So, the Alt Right who were demonstrating and beating people up weren't all neo Nazis and white Nationalists. Some were fine people.

To his credit, he did acknowledge that the peaceful protesters had some "fine people" as well.

OK, start spinning:

Theres nothing to spin. He said (paraphrased) not everyone protesting the removal of the statues were part of a white supremicists group. Your own bias assumes they are because you think they are the only ones who object to having historical figures removed. Trump correctly pointed out and corrected the medias predijuices.

I object to removing statues of historic figures as well, but I'm not about to go out on the street and attempt to stop it with violence. Perhaps not all of the violent protesters were white supremacists, but a lot of them were. No doubt some, supremacists or not, were "fine people." Most likely, most of them voted for Trump, which calls into question their judgement though.

I agree 100% with you. I object to the removal of these monuments. Im not willing to show up n protest it but i accept sime people are that passionate about it. For some it has nothing to do with bigotry. Trump acknowledged that about both sides and then denounced those thst dont fit thst group. Whats the problem with that?

The media has put forth a very robust effort to keep public opinion against him and have done the same to any politican who has shown public support of the potus. They are trying their best to make in politically unsavory to support Trump. They portray their opinions as facts AKA Fake News and they play fast and loose with the truth.

There is only one thing that could save the Trump presidency, at this point. Shut the **** up. All speeches should be prepared by others, and simply read from Cue cards. He took this approach on 2 occasions, and got rave reviews from the media. His speech about the slain Navy Seal got great reviews. His speech to Congress got rave reviews.

Here is the first paragraph of CNN's review of his speech to Congress:
Gone from his speech to a joint session of Congress were the lengthy attacks on media and Democratic opponents. Missing was the gloom-and-doom warnings of "American carnage" from his inaugural address. And while he didn't deliver a ton of policy specifics, Trump smoothed his rough edges, soothed congressional Republicans and reached out to populations he'd previously alienated.

The trouble is, when Trump just talks, he cannot help himself; and always resorts to divisive comments.

and he needs a chief tweeter to write his tweets for him, either that, or close down his account.
