Trump leaves out "On Many side... On many sides." to his audience in Arizona. Why is he afraid to give his exact quote? Surely he remembers what he said. I'm fairly sure all of us do. Why wont he say those words? He knows that he was wrong. He is omitted "On many sides" , thus lying to his audience. He is lying to his audience because he knows why he omitted naming the hate groups by names, because they are his/were his base

"We condemn in the strongest possible terms this egregious display of hatred, bigotry and violence on many sides...on many sides."

^^^^

His exact words.

He condemned both sides. Both sides of which produced violence. Violence that was initiated by both sides. The fact that you are pissed that he didn't name the groups, particularly the white supremacist groups, is nothing more than you LOOKING for a reason to bitch about Trump. He did the right thing in condemning everyone that was violent. Stop wearing the political blinders and start using critical thinking skills.

Tell me, why is it that you take such offense at Trump not naming the white supremacist groups? Shouldn't ALL sides that partook in the violence be condemned, equally? Isn't that reasonable?

Trump has told over a thousand lies in his first seven months for an average of five per day. Why would last night be any different in the latest chapter of his own version of TRIUMPH OF THE WILL?

Your right, he didn't name all the violent hate groups that participated in the violence. He left out antifa and BLM.

According to the clip I saw, DJT stopped when he quoted his remarks, from a paper he pulled from his pocket, just before the "both sides" quote. Why in this age of near instant fact checking, would any public official stray from what has previously been said, recorded via audio or audio/video? The general population probably do not keep up as closely to day to day politics as the group here. Does DJT think they are that uninformed or they can't/won/t check or worse, don't care. Here's a big "up yours" Washington, DC.

If you would kindly read my previous post you would see that I said he was right to blame all sides. But the omission initially of not naming the Neo Nazis, KKK and White Supremacist isn't an accident. That omission was well received by those groups. I can refer you to written statement by those groups expressing how gleeful those very groups were by Mr. Trump's omission. They understand it and correctly so that Mr, Trump wanted to be careful not to alienate them as part of his base. That is why Mr. Trump was careful not to include "On all sides...On all sides." In his statements at Phoenix. He knew how that was receive by those anti American Hate Groups. The Neo Nazis at Chorlottesville walked with torches and chanted "Blood and Soil" just as their Idols did in Nazi Germany. A regime that MURDERED MILLIONS AND DECLARED WAR ON THE UNITED STATES. There is no Equivalency They idolize the people who MURDERED MILLIONS AND WAS OUR ENEMIES. Your the one who should take the blinders off.

There indeed WAS violence on many sides. What is wrong with people??

I know.and his poor supporters, I don't blame them for wanting to be right. Why can't they understand he is using them? The money he gets for those rallys is helping to pay for Jarred's legal defense. This is sort of like a parent trying to tell their daughter that the guy she is with is using her. She will never listen. But the parent still has to speak the truth. The tragic irony here is we are all on the same side. We all want America to be it's best. We all love America. But being stubborn just because you were lied to and fooled by a con artist isn't loving America. It isn't putting America first. It's putting your false pride first. In your hearts you know now what's right.

I did read what you said. Not once did you say that he was right to blame all sides.

And your "on many sides" vs "all sides" argument? Seriously? In this context "many sides" is the same thing as "all sides". Many sides means more than one side. Since there were only two sides then "many sides" would mean all sides. Like I said, you're simply looking for an excuse to bitch about Trump.

Jarred? Who's Jarred? And do you have proof that Trumps rally's are paying for his legal defense?

I agree. There shouldn't be any violence. For most people, violence is the result of no communication and polarization. But there are those who cause the violence on both sides .They have their own agendas as so many of you have rightly pointed out to me. Those people don't speak for me. I speak for myself and I will hold all elected officials accountable for the things they say and do. Trump's position on Afghanistan is one I would have chosen if I were in the oval office . Neither choice was good from a political point of view or from a practical point of view. But to cut and run will leave a void and Iraq shows us what that can result in.

For that you will have to go back to my first post on the the subject. But for the sake of clarity , I will tell you now, he was right to say there was violence on both sides.

If he was right to say that there was violence on both sides, as you just agreed on, then why is there such a problem with what he said? I don't understand why people are so upset that he blamed both sides equally since both sides were equally to blame. I can't help but think that they are only doing so because this is Trump we're talking about. If any other politician or President had said the same thing that Trump's response was no one would have said a thing about it.

That is astounding! It makes me think he doesn't really think too highly of his audiences intellectual curiosity. AS one poster pointed out: FACT CHECKERS have him up to FIVE LIES A DAY. He said it,"I can shoot someone on fifth avenue and my supporters would still vote for me" That tells you what he really thinks of his base.

No argument here!
But since we agree on that truth can we agree that the president has the bully pulpit and he can say what ever he wants and talk as long as he chooses? Can we also agree that the president has the executive responsibility to name who our adversaries are or were and who currently support those ideaologies, especially if in their current form ,they are actively [perpetuating those IDEAS in the public arena. I don't know if Heather was with Antifa or just a regular person who opposed those anti American hate ideas. At least in her memory, shouldn't what she stood for or stood against be inclusive?

I'm no fan of White Supremacist or KKK. But my real beef is with the neo nazis. The Nazi regime declared war on the United States and Neo Nazis idolize the Nazi regime and Adolph Hitler. My I ask you a question. If a cell existed in the United States that wanted to demonstrate for an Isis leader that they Idolize and violence ensued and the President issued condemnation of the violence and bigotry and never mentioned that the cell idolizes America's enemy. Would that be alright with you?

Put whatever name for the groups that you want. If the same circumstances of what happened in Charlotteville happened with any type of group and ANY President said the same words as Trump I would still be saying the same things I am now. I will always condemn violence no matter who does it or what types of groups are involved or anything of that nature. I will always lay blame equally. I don't play favorites.
