9% of Americans = Nazis???

The question asked in the poll:

Do you yourself think it's acceptable or unacceptable to hold neo-Nazi or white supremacist views? Do you feel that way strongly or somewhat?

3% Yes-Strongly
5% Yes-Somewhat

Am I wrong, or does that question not make sense? Which way "strongly" do they feel?

Maybe I didn't cut and paste enough. Those are the numbers of people who approve of the neo-Nazis having those views.

Yeah...the whole poll is poorly written and ultimately nothing more than a thinly veiled attempt to tie Trump to the Klan and insinuate there is a growing klan/white supremacist movement.

The survey asked "is it acceptable for someone to have such views"...what a stupid question. OF COURSE its acceptable for someone to have WHATEVER views they want to have. Its perfectly acceptable for Louis Farrakhan and the Nation of Islam to hold their views and for that matter for others to support their right to hold them. that doesnt mean you agree with them.

I find it perfectly acceptable for people to have such views.

I do not believe in "thought" policing.

I also find it unacceptable for them to act violently on behalf of such views, or try to compel me to accede to such views/beliefs.

I'd bet that percentage is 5x that on this Forum.

Exactly.

Food for thought.

I have never had a person from the Nazi party in this country try to force their views or opinions on me like the left does. I have never had to fight the Nazi party in this country to keep my rights and freedom the way I have to fight the left on a regular basis. The left and the right are more like the Nazis from WW2 than the current Nazi party here today in this country. Both parties are always trying to push their opinions and beliefs on me and everyone else.

No, it just means 9% of Americans realize it is a free country, and you have a right to be a dumbass if you so choose.

Twice as many actually think Congress is doing a great job, so go figure.

40% are opponents of the alt right movement, 45% only heard or read something about the protests in Charlottesville, but of course 42 % strongly disapprove of Trump's handling of things.
Wow, why don't I find polls very reliable?

Well hell...lets not stop there. Most polls show Hillary an easy winner in the presidential election.

Yay...polls.

Yeah, if only we could kick most of the Antifa sympathizers off the site. Then we can get that number down to 0%.

That's exactly right.

It doesn't mean 3% have views that support nazism, it means they support allowing others to think as they think. And, when you think about it -- that's the only logical response because you can't police and change another person's thoughts.

Just on face value itself, the topic doesn't really make sense.. 9%.. really?

If 9% of Americans were Nazis, wouldn't that be like 2.8 or 2.9 million people?
Thats the hidden narrative trying to be pushed. They want everyone to believe there is this huge amount of closet nazis that form a sub-culture within the usa. Be afraid, very afraid so they can justify the actions of groups like antifa. They are needed to stamp out this hidden cancer within our society. Antifa is to be viewed like chemotherapy

Yeah, and I have to wonder how many people would answer that honestly on the phone.

and how many of them actually understand what they are supporting. White Supremacists aren't exactly the top of the honors classes or the valedictorians when it comes to intellect

or so they can swindled old Black ladies and Jewish grandmothers into giving groups like the SPLC more and more cash because Morris Dees convinces them that unless they do, the "Nazis and the Klan" is going to kill all of them
