I was asked (What is wrong with Trump's initial comments on Charlottesville.)

This is becoming very tedious to make my post. Don't know why.? I'll try again.

This is to continue where I left off previously.
I think I ended there with those who were helping in Texas. So I'll begin here with your comments (AKYRON) on historical references to racism in America.

I thank you for sharing your extensive knowledge on the subject with me. I was aware of many of the points you made. However I think your references go back for most almost a century. One more recent personality you mentioned is Robert Byrd. I'm sure you are aware that he was a Grand Wizard in his earlier life but later he renounced the KKK and asked for forgiveness for his poor life's choices and spent the remainder of his days making amends. That is why he was spoken of so well by many at his funeral. Another person who you did not mention was Governor George Wallace who after nearly dying from a would be assassin bullet, had a change of heart concerning his racist beliefs. He too spent the balance of his life asking for forgiveness and making amends .Both these men evolved spiritually and socially. They made the world a better place for everyone, including themselves. I thank you Akyron for giving us this insite.

As a society we moved from a place of human ownership to where we are now. Most I think would say we are Listening to the angels of our better nature. (No quote intended) But it was Abraham and many others who set us on this course of enlightenment. As revealed by many of Abraham's writings to friends and colleagues his hatred of slavery was well documented. But that very issue threatened to tear apart the country as a union. In his letter to Horace Greeley, he expressed "If I could save the union without freeing any slave I would do it and if I could save it by freeing all the slaves I would do it," In another phrase he wrote, "My paramount object in this struggle is to save the union, and is not either to save or destroy slavery." This is a man who hated slavery as the ultimate evil of his time. But his presidential responsibilities was to preserve the union. Any threats foreign or domestic is the presidents purview. So before this conversation got off onto racism exclusively ,my original comments was concerned with Mr. Trump's initial comments about Charlottesville. Here is what I said.

I said that Mr. Trump's initial remarks concerning Charlottesville was factually correct but was vague. I felt and still do that it was necessary to call out all parties involved by name including Antifa. My expressed reason for this was that one of the hate groups self identifies as NEO NAZIS. These individuals walk parade like with lite torches in hand while chanting "Blood and Soil" just as the ones they idolize did during the 1930 and 1940s. The leader of that regime was Adolf Hitler and his regime was the Nazis. That leader and his regime declared war on the United States. I can't speak for what's in a Neo Nazis heart. Or anyone's heart except to the extent to what they say or do. Their actions and words are seditious. That word's definition is: Conduct or speech inciting people to rebel against the authority of a state or monarch. So we had a president in the 1860s who knew his presidential responsibility was to protect and preserve the union from all enemies both foreign and domestic. At Charlottesville we had a group who's behavior and words fit the definition of sedition and no one thinks it's necessary to talk about them. And apparently, that includes the president. Nothing racist about his intent from my point of view at l;east in that particular instance. But dialect as hell. What good would it do if he did call out the Neo Nazis by name and spoke briefly of why they are acting like enemies of the state? It just might enlighten some who are not sure who they are. But more importantly, that's his job. So Akyron I appreciate all your statements about race. Your for tyhe most part in my opinion on the money. But I didn't call Trump a racist regarding Charlottesville. I have said he made racist remarks about other things, but not that.

Sorry to hear you are having issues posting.

I and millions of others understood the meaning of "all" quite clearly despite the bloviating and hysterics of the usual suspects.

Since nazis have virtually no political power for over 70 plus years they are virtually irrelevant and marginalized.

Are there any official nazi representatives in any power...anywhere?

The only living one I could find online was 89 years old and suffering from a variety of deteriorating age issues.
His greatest accomplishment these days is having a successful bowel movement.

That's great news about his B.Ms
Of course you know that ideas precede actions. All things start small. Irrelevant , insignificant ideologies given the fertile ground of ignorance and apathy grow to prominence if not countered by factual information and a determined will. "When bad men combine, the good must associate; else they will fall one by one,an unpitied sacrifice in a contemptible struggle."

Let's not fall prey to hubris. Edmund Burke is right. Good men must associate.
Take care,
