Who is Hope Hicks?

Oh, OK. I agree with you that the movie was ****, and it made me sad because I really wanted it to be good.

Oh well. Hopefully Justice League will be good.

Justice League will be just fine. They won't have some poorly put together superhero movie with heroes poorly disguised as villains, and they won't have much reason to end the movie with... whatever Harley's relapse after her climactic defining moment was for.

"Oh, and don't forget to hand the Falcon over to the Mary Sue we me earlier for me, Chewy."

Even thirty years later, Chewbacca can't get anything nice.

How sad is that?

Seeing as he is one of the most canonically constant characters in the whole series.

I just wish they would go ahead and make more of the comics into canon for the movies, mister bones was awesome.

Ironically, if Disney had kept the expanded universe material as canon, we might have seen chewbacca die! And his death would have Ben roaring defiantly at the sky as an evil alien race uses their technology to make a freaking moon drop upon the planet chewy was standing upon.

I remember what happened on Sernpidal. It was a sad death, but it was a worthy death for Chewbacca, in honoring his life debt to Han by saving his son.

I understand why Disney turned the EU into Legends, much as I wanted to see a lot of it hit the big screen. They've got some excellent stuff in the new canon, like Twilight Squadron and the Rogue One film. It's just a damn shame they put that uncreative wretch Jar Jar Abrams in charge of the sequels.

We've already established she was in PR.
We've also established that loyalty is part of jobs with power structures like president.

The question is that, why are we so concerned about her.

She's 28.

Well, if there's anything the Trump Brigade has displayed, it's that Experience Doesn't Matter.

Unless you're a Democrat.

I once believed experience wouldn't matter. I thought our system was strong enough for even a moose-hunting mama to take the helm and everything would be okay. I thought our checks and balances, advisers in high places and established policy would carry the day. I thought an outsider would be able to shake things up without looking bad.

Some say it's still possible. I'm not so sure.

That's clearly a lie.
I think it's nit picking stupidity.
I didn't **** on Obama for this kind of stuff either.

I like that young people get a shot at higher positions like this.
I do this at my work, when leadership positions open up and advocate for younger, less experienced people.

Is your work in the office of the president? When you have a guy who clearly has no sense for optics or ... well, media relations at all, do you really think a person younger than most of Trump's underwear is the best person for this job?

Get flipping serious.

I don't think it matters that much.
Would it make someone like you, like him more, if he followed that advice now?
No.

Would it make anyone else like him more?
Probably not.

Why does it matter so much then?
Having or not having Hope Hicks isn't going to change optics for most people.

Well, in that case, just hire Oscar the Grouch as communications director.

It is the JOB of the comm director to improve the image and messaging of the office of the POTUS. If that doesn't matter, because Liberals Are Meaniefaces, WHY BOTHER HAVING ONE????

You're right.
Oscar would at least be funny, most of the time.
That we could all agree on.

Yup and I think Hillary had a pretty young campaign manager too. What's your point? Hicks is still younger than both of them were

So what? At what age should someone with apparent talent no longer be discriminated against?
