This is an excellent column which explains a great deal about the last forty years of our bully in chief.

What threatens Trump's fragile masculinity (Opinion) - CNN

The part about the pics with the wives is most revealing as is the dead beat nature of him refusing to pay his bills.

When he was merely a wealthy playboy, this weakness was most obvious in his highly publicized relationships with women. It has never been enough for Donald Trump to privately date attractive women: he has always shown a deep need to parade his female conquests.
Remember all those late night radio interviews with Howard Stern in the 90s? Trump sees women as trophies -- signifiers of sway -- for the financially successful male. His early relationship with Melania Trump became a public celebration of her financial dependence on him. In one telephone interview with Stern, Trump put an allegedly nude Melania on the line while Stern asked her whether she was sleeping with the billionaire in order to steal from his wallet.
Early in his relationship with Melania, he arranged for her to be photographed nearly nude for a men's magazine in his own private jet. In one picture, she was handcuffed to a briefcase; in another, she leaned into his arms as he fed her from his hands. In another photo shoot, his ex-wife Marla is pictured being fed by her husband, in this case kneeling submissively at Trump's feet as he dangles grapes into her mouth. The ideal wife, nurtured by the economic produce of her husband, on display for the world to see.
This isn't just fratboy masculinity; this is the performance of fratboy masculinity. (Hence, also, the flashy watches and those long ties swinging beneath his crotch.) Now, that penchant for macho performance has come to define the Trump White House.

He is a bully pure and simple. And he needs to be a bully to make himself look bigger in his own eyes. He is delusional and mentally unfit for such a high office - let alone polite company of civilized people.


This sorry excuse for a man needs to be removed from office ASAP.

Well ASAP is January of 2021 unless he happens to commit perjury somehow with a Dem controlled house and senate.

Unless it is a Dem controlled House and Senate it is highly doubtful. Trumps ego won't allow him to quit and I don't think the GOP controlled house and senate have a spine to do it, even if Trump WAS guilty of a crime.

We are in uncharted waters with Trump and I would not be surprised to see him leave office by any of of several ways including resignation. I would agree that unless the Dems take the House next year - we will see no impeachment trial barring really definitive evidence that he is Putin's willing toady. That is what it would take for the GOP to do it.

I wonder if Trump had some health problems - even if not life threatening - and the heat on him gets even worse and his popularity continues to nose dive, if we would see him conveniently use those health problems to jump ship claiming it is NOT because of the obvious reasons that he is resigning? I could see that happening as well and he would excuse and rationalize it and his supporters would buy it as well.

If he is found guilty of a crime, I'm pretty sure the Rs couldn't impeach him soon enough... with a good riddance on the way out the door.

They can't even speak against him for his comments now I doubt they can impeach him.

Nixon was accused of a crime that would be laughed out of the news today, but he was informed the votes were there to impeach him, so he resigned due to being involved in a cover up of a crime that was not his.

Trump is the enemy of a totally corrupt media who have forgotten how to do anything but hate him and the middle class he represents. Trump is also faced with an investigation in search of a crime. Sure they will find something, but it has to be bold enough to make sense to normal people who understand there is no such thing as "equal justice", and won't see him as being railroaded.

If Trump was smart, he'll force an impeachment and people can see what P.O.S.'s they have as leaders. My gut prediction is that it will be the catalyst to end the Republican Party and the democrat party and create the true third party Trump attempts to represent.

I don't know what threatens his masculinity, but right now I think who threatens him is Steve Bannon which is why he is still there.

My husband likes to feed me and I sometimes feed him, but it is definitely not sexual or about domination. It's about him wanting to take care of me, but he also respects me as a female. She says I am smart and compliments me in many other ways. Trump on the other hand probably needs nonstop compliments and ego stroking. They said on the news today that Ivanka and Melania are known for calming Trump down all the time. My husband is a man. He can keep himself level headed and calm.

Also, Trump really does have little hands and fingers.

Since we are making fantastical predictions, mine would be that Santa Claus will come once a week and his elves will take over our government.

I thought that until recently. But if he keeps pissing everyone off like he has been then I don't think a Republican Congress will protect him IF they can get him on a crime.

Outside of a few that have a voice in congress, the majority have sat back (even now) and haven't voiced themselves. I doubt they will even if Trump committed a crime. Even Republicans have agreed that going against Trump wouldn't be good for the party right now.

Now, where I will agree with you is if Pence starts going against Trump verbally. That's a sign that he has the backing of Republicans to oust Trump.
