I am a liberal poster. I enjoy having smart constructive debates with those on the right. Some have given me a run for my money. Hats off to them. What I despise is when an argument has been started and the best response is "Well, what about Hillary's lies" or "Your'e just butthurt cause Trump won" These add nothing to the conversation, they add nothing to the debate. Even the childish antics of grade nines show more promise of maturity. Also don't bring in physical appearances like if someone brings up Michael Moore's weight or the way someone else looks. It just shows that they have no argument against your case.

I am pleading for everyone and anyone on the left not to get caught up in these childish antics. If anyone from the left sees other left posters attacking someone because of their appearance whether it be Trump or Coulter or anyone else remind them to be better. If you want to start a topic on something Trump said and the only resonses are about Hilar and Obama, ignore them. Unless they are directly related. I know it can be hard after a dozen childish posts from those on the right but are you any better than them if you resort to the same tactic? Bring back intelligent discourse throughout the debate. Stick to the topic.

What about Hillary's lies though?

You know, for the most part, people don't take that bait anymore.

Just asking for consistency. Until you demonstrate consistency all of that will be thrown in your face until there is as much outrage over things like Hillary's corruption and actual obstruction of justice. If not, then that's all the proof we need that you don't actually care about the thing but which party is doing the thing.

Yes. So all those years of outrage over "all the evidence" for Obama's Kenyan birth certificate were factually on a par with the evidence that Russia interfered with the election of Trump. So now that you have let the Obama birth certificate thing go (well, mostly), then it's only fair that we let the Russia investigation go.

Yeah. Seems only fair.

Hmmm...did I say anything about Obama's birth cert? No, I don't think so. That was you. The whole birth cert was dumb in it's very premise. His mother was a U.S. citizen and therefor he was, even if he was born in Kazakhstan.

I get the "But Obama" one.He was actually President and it is normal to blame some things on past Presidents. I still blame some things on W. It doesn't excuse a current President, though. Cleaning up the mess of the last President will always be part of the job of a new President.

However, I do NOT get the "But Hillary" crowd. Who cares about Hillary? How often do we blame things on previous SECSTATEs or other failed Presidential candidates? It is a bit pathetic.

Tuatara, glad to see you here, far from other haunts.

I enjoy your posts, even if they are 'overly' liberal.

If you want to start a thread on Hilary's corruption. Go right on ahead. I just happen to see her name mentioned in many threads when people are talking about something Trump has said or done. They make no response to the actual subject of the thread. They are just drive-by "What about Hilary" posters. What I'm asking is that those people on the left should not stoop to that style of debate. Even though that is not debate.

Liberals have been screaming "but..but...fill in the blank" for years. It's time to take your medicine.

There are direct analogies you can expect. For instance when someone complains how Obama bailed out the auto industry. Somebody could come back and mention that Bush actually announced and started the bailout himself. These 2 are directly correlated. You will have to give me an exact example.

The reason I made this thread is because a conservative poster was calling someone "A Fat ****er" and a left wing poster responded by calling Trump the same thing. I merely wish to tell my compatriots not to stoop to that level.

lol

Republocrats have been screaming "but...but...fill in the blank" for decades, this isn't new or isolated to one branch of the Republocrats.

That was impressive. The almost pure irony of using ONLY negative comments from conservatives to chide liberals with was almost poetic in it's hypocrisy. When you make a post encouraging "your" side to be better, but only use negative stereotypes of the "other" side, it becomes one of the most hypocritical posts I've ever seen. So you want the liberals to be better... I'd suggest that you start with ending the hate-filled screeds (of which yours was very nicely done), the pigeon-holing (again, nicely done) and broad-brushing (which you were magnificent at doing).

Seriously??? It's HARD to start a thread here on ANY subject without some dimwit throwing out a TDS post. Yeah, you can find a few "B-b-b-but Hillary..." posts, but they pale in comparison to the masses of TDS posts that litter almost every thread that gets started.

If you gave a **** to begin with, you would have made the plead to all forum members.

Are you the liberal team manager on here?

No thanks, I'll stay here as your OP brought up Hillary and I'm telling you why others who are fauxraged over Trump have no standing to said fauxrage.

What are you talking about? I've never had a hold of the birth cert thing in the first place. As I said, his mother was a U.S. citizen so it was moot from the very start, always was. As far as the Russia collusion conspiracy theory, so much investigation, so much of nothing. I wonder what that means?

Since it's going to a grand jury it means there's probably more evidence of a Russian collusion than there is of Hillary illegally sending classified emails.

Can't wait for the release of the "Pee-Gate" video.

Really, only negative. Did you not catch this? "I enjoy having smart constructive debates with those on the right. Some have given me a run for my money. Hats off to them." Was that negative. Of course it wasn't. It was a positive comment. Either your reading abilities are below average or you yourself are a hypocrite. Your pick.

So you want the liberals to be better... I'd suggest that you start with ending the hate-filled screeds (of which yours was very nicely done), the pigeon-holing (again, nicely done) and broad-brushing (which you were magnificent at doing).
Everything I have said I have witnessed here and on every forum. Both sides do it but I see it from conservatives by at least 70% more. Actually someone challenged me when I noticed a negative comment from a liberal on the appearance of Ann Coulter. I stated that the conservatives were worse and I mentioned how they do the same about Michael Moore's appearance. In 1 thread alone I counted over 40 comments on the right about his appearance. This is not broad brushing or pigeon holing or hate-filled screeds. It is the truth. I never once said all conservatives do this. Everyone does it. I just see it on the right a lot more. Disagree with me, then show me some proof.

First of all, what is TDS. I'm not up on recent abbreviations. I'm assuming it has to do with Trump.

Actually, in the debate I usually let the other person know to stay on topic or I just ignore them if their responses are ridiculous and irrelevant. I'm usually not debating with other liberal posters. I used to cringe at their comments but now I thought I should say something.

More American political slang. What is fauxrage? Give an actual example.
