Downfall of the Tough Guy Persona

I'm coming to the conclusion that the tough guy persona doesn't work in politics. At least not the in your face type. There have been a number of stories in the news recently that leads me to this conclusion. Whether it's Trump's revolving white house circus to Chris Christie's idiotic behavior or the mooch's short stint in his job at the White House. It's not enough to elect someone just because they seem tough and they seem like they have a handle on things. Usually it's the opposite way around.

Well they all have move of a gangster persona than a tough guy. Trump and Christie might hire some goons to pound on you but you know their knuckles aren't bruised.

Great point....He has been able to hold onto power, but the death spiral of yet another rust belt city continuers.......at speed.

The fact that Illinois is now the undisputed worst run state in the country helping not at all...

Maybe if the phenomena of "White flight" was not happening in American cities, maybe they would be okay.

Those who can get out do get out..first duty is to ourselves and our loved ones....the elite who have given up on America and thus pad their nest with as much as they can pilfer are not entirely wrong you know.....
