Partisan Politics is Ruining the American Political System

Funny. I was sort of hoping Obama would have united people. Didn't happen. The Right Wing went Tea Bagger crazy. Fox News and Talk Radio started inventing stories like "death panels" and "Kenyan anti-colonialist." So, before you knew it, the country became more divided than ever.

I have no doubt that what you are getting now with Trump is what I call Karma. And, Karma be a bitch.

Obama was anti white and anti American exceptionalism, anti middle class, anti free market free enterprise and that had much to do with the backlash against him

I suspect you will respond that obama walks on water and his critics were misinformed.by Fox News or were motivated by racism

But the complaints about him were real

Obama was anti white

Racist swill. Racists like to claim that recognizing the existence of racism is racist. So pathetically stupid.

Obama demonstrated his racism often

One of the first was his attack on a white cop in Boston for arresting a black college professor for disturbing the peace

At a press conference obama spoke out by saying he didn't have all the facts but white police abuse of black people was well documented

Clearly in his mind the white cop was guilty till proven otherwise.

Which did eventaully happen and obama had to eat crow by holding the Rose Garden Beer Summit

And you don't care what lie you tell.

I bet you a username change that you can't find of single post of mine defending Trumpcare. Go!

TrumpCare isn't even a reality yet.

TrumpCare isn't even a reality yet.

If it is, it'll be as big a turd as Obamacare.

You found that quote, or are you ready for me to select your user name?

You don't have any posts defending it because it doesn't exist yet. So there's nothing to defend. When and if it becomes a reality, I expect you to keep your word on this.

Then why didn't trumpcare pass?
IMO, the dems wanted to 'fix' ACA into single-payor healthcare. Not a single vote for Trumpcare...... Which is partianship at its finest.

The republicans have the majority they could have passed it with ZERO dem votes. It didn't pass which means it is a bad bill. Can't blame dems on this one with a republican majority in congress and the preisdency.

You affirmed the title of my thread. Partisanship is ruining American politics. Not a single dem voted for the bill. Ideological GOPs didn't vote for the bill. The bill didn't get passed. Our political system is in an upheaval.

I'm for allowing dems and GOPs to work together to fix the healthcare system. I'm against single-payor healthcare because that's ultimately what America has now. Healthcare where the government makes all the decisions...and the costs of healthcare rising higher and higher and higher.

Side note: Trump and other political dummies who think letting ACA die and then proposing other healthcare programs are sadly mistaken. Biggest mistake of their short, party-domination-of-congress lives. I can't imagine what they are thinking. Can someone help me out?

It may be important for you to know that partisan bills should never become law. If the two sides can't agree that something is good for the country, then it shouldn't happen. I think partisanship saves us a lot of money.

The Dems didn't vote for the bill because it was a BAD bill and scored less than the ACA. If anything the partisanship is on the GOP because they brought a bad bill to be voted on just because they wanted to kill the ACA just to kill the ACA.

We aren't even close to a single-payer system right now. The costs of healthcare are rising because pharmaceutical companies and medical equipment companies are allowed to price gouge.

Trump is a divider long before he took office and a liar to boot. He spouts off catch-phrases but that is about it. Politically he is an idiot and doesn't care about the American people any more than the he cares about a bug he squished with his shoes.

I assume from what you just said that you meant partisanship "costs" us a lot of money and not saves correct? I agree that both sides should have to agree on a bill and we should have a 60-75% support rule in congress that no one can change.

No I said saves us a lot of money and that is what I meant. Laws cost money. Fewer laws, less money.

You talking about ACA? That partisan bill became law. You admit its a bad law?

It is a terrible law. Putting government in charge of health insurance is, frankly, stupid.

Once all the insurance companies are out of ACA, it's eventually gonna become single-payor healthcare.

Well since the ACA is more popular than trump I would say you are incorrect about the "will" of the American people.

And trump has been the biggest divider president we've had in decades.
How many years ago was Barack Obama president? Obama wasn't a divider?

Not without a new law.

Not without a new law.

That is, IMO. the dems proposed 'fix' to ACA...single-payor healthcare. Any fix will be a new law.

Trump, IMO, is the best chance of healing the divide between the ideologues,
the zealots in Washington and elsewhere in American politics.

A man-child who loves to publicly insult not only his opponents but his allies is the best chance of healing the divide? Newsflash: Trump is the manifestation of the divide.
