As they were saying their good-byes after a tour, Mr Trump turned to Mrs Macron and gestured toward her body.

"You know, you're in such great shape," he said.

Mr Trump then looks at Mr Macron and repeats his comments — "she's in such good physical shape" — before turning back to Mrs Macron and saying, "beautiful".

I am a male, so color me sexist since I don't typically compliment other men on their appearance.

Color me "racist" because I compliment women of all races...even white women, on various aspects of their presentation and appearance. After all, they are often fishing for compliments since many do spend some time reminding us men about how we don't notice enough. ;)

Color me "deplorable" because I grew up in an era when men acted like gentlemen and treated women like "ladies."

So yes, I don't find Mr. Trump's willingness to give compliments offensive...but then again I don't see the world in all black and white (monochrome) like some people seem to. :coffeepap:

Judging women on their looks and not men is not "gentlemanly". It's sexist. He makes no such comments about men being in shape... so it's not just about being in shape.

Do you think she needs his comments? Do you think she invited it? No. He just chose to judge her looks.

It's practically workplace sexual harassment. Go tell a female boss ""you know, you're in such great shape," and then turn to her secretary and say "she's in such good physical shape". And see what happens to you.

Remember, Obama said Kamala Harris was the hottest AG in the country.....Compare that with Trump saying a woman is in good shape?

Macron's wife is 24 years older than her husband. She is a cougar. In fact, she was his teacher! Consider when she was 24, her husband was born!

Complimenting a 60-year old woman on her health is a gigantic ego boost for this type of woman.

You know, I've represented my company at several trade association meetings and events and met several of my counterpart's spouses. When connecting on a personal level, what I try to do is talk about things we have in common, like our kids, or recreational activities we both enjoy.

It never occurred to me that what I should do on our first meeting is to complement another dude's wife on the shape of her body! I've been going about this all wrong. Thanks for showing me the light, Mr. Bucky - I'm sure my career's going to take off now following your and Trump's example.

It's actually real life. They met when he was 15 and she was 39 years old. His parents tried to separate them. Here in the states we would call her a sexual predator.
