To me, it is less about his obesity and more about his double standard where women are concerned.

I get that there are many situations that a woman would be very happy about the comment. But coming from old fat guy that has a history of cheating and talks about women badly, and jokes about his power to "***** grab"....women with any standards would feel creeped out. Unless they are looking for something from him or think being wife number 4 is a good play.

Melania Trump was and is independently wealthy in her own right before she married Donald Trump. The left likes to spout a lot about the right's "war on women" but it's undeniable that the left is viciously hateful toward any woman who is attractive, successful, and conservative. Total hypocrisy.

We are talking about a man who has cheated on his wives over the decades . Hold women to a higher physical standard than he holds himself. He has a strong history of disgusting sexual comments about women.
That is the person who made the comment to Mrs Macron.

In the whole scheme of things, his comment was really a nothingburger.....but I guarantee that Mrs Macron behind closed doors....outside of the public eye.....thought the French equivalent of "creep".

Because I was not voting on his sexual indiscretions .

When a Republican jumps ship from the Trump camp....does it have anything to do with his "***** grabbing" or similar comments? No. They are not supporting him because overall he is not addressing their concerns as citizens.

No harm in owning it - it's hypocrisy to try and claim otherwise.
