Right wing talk show hosts who promoted Trump---"Friend or Foe?"

Dude.

The $2BN figure was all the networks combined, not just Fox News as you claimed. This is not a matter of opinion.

Give me a break--how much time did FOX News spend with other GOP candidates in relation to Donald Trump. They turned into the Trump Media Networks during the primary, you know it, I know it.

Fox News, meanwhile, has given Donald Trump the level of positive coverage that money could never (legally) buy, and as a result, they’ve dropped in the ratings. It’s no coincidence that as Trump enablers and outright supporters have focused more and more on Trump, their level of appeal has dropped. They don’t have the diversity of panelists CNN has managed to grab, and they don’t have hosts who allow both sides to speak freely. What’s more, the rising star of Fox News, Megyn Kelly, was fast becoming the most popular personality, and then Donald Trump not only insulted her, but the network on multiple occasions met with Trump to try to work things out and get him to come back on the air. If Kelly decided not to remain with Fox News when her contract is up, Fox News would fall even further – and they would deserve it. The quality of coverage is key, and Fox News is not providing it. What they have failed to realize is that Donald Trump is but a blip in the ratings. What people will perceive of you when he has come and gone is what will decide your fate. And, if the numbers continue to fall, you can pretty much guess what life is going to be like for them after Trump has gone.
But WHY is CNN crushing Fox News in the ratings?

As A life long moderate rep I leave the party and join the libertarians. While both side lie the eps are never going to leave the rich first platform. So screw them.

Sooner rather than the later the fingers are going to start pointing. Starting with FOX News who gave Trump an unprecedented 2 billion in free news coverage during the primaries while ignoring all other GOP candidates.
But WHY is CNN crushing Fox News in the ratings?

No one could have watched any of those debates--either in the primary or with Hillary Clinton and walked away believing that Trump won a single won of them. So what happened?

Rush Limbaugh set the stage several years ago by attacking other Republicans (continually referring to them as Establishment Republicans.) Several of them continually violated Reagan's 11th commandment--"thou shall not speak ill of a fellow Republican." We had tea party politicians come onto the scene in 2009/2010 like Ted Cruz--who just said no to everything, while threatening to shut down the government, defund Obamacare--leaving millions that were forced onto this program without insurance overnight. They were nothing more than political opportunists seeking their 15 minutes of fame. Yet all right wing talk show hosts rallied around them.

Enter Donald Trump--the non-politician that was promising the moon & stars--a wall, deport every illegal in this country, etc. etc. etc. People that I thought were once smart were actually supporting and voted for Ttump--against all rational.

Here are a couple of great articles that should be read--but when the finger pointing starts over this incoming disaster remember where to point.

The GOP That Failed - POLITICO Magazine

Whom have all delivered 3 or more daily hours of right wing hyperbole, half truths, and enough conspiracy theories to fill the capital building from floor to ceiling for nothing more than ratings and those obscene profit breaks.

"Trump, brought to you by the same people who made Honey BooBoo and Duck Dynasty big hits."

I guess you can also add to the list of sponsors, those who turned Jesus into a war mongering, Muslim hating, gay bashing, bigot who blames poor people for their plight and wants a wall between the US and Mexico. And, of course those who promote patriotism as hating any neighbor who disagrees with you because you and people like you are the only "real" Americans.

Com'on FOX News turned into the Trump media networks during the primary--there's no doubt about that. While Sean Hannity was bragging about his ratings, overall people started turning off FOX News and turned on CNN.
But WHY is CNN crushing Fox News in the ratings?

Now even MSNBC is beating FOX news in ratings.

At this link is a chart of the free media coverage Trump got compared to all other candidates.

Erm -- literally no one is claiming that Fox News wasn't in the tank for Trump. You keep saying the $2 billion in free media was only from Fox. That's completely untrue.

Over the course of the campaign, he has earned close to $2 billion worth of media attention, about twice the all-in price of the most expensive presidential campaigns in history.

Note how it doesn't say what you want it to say.

You'll have to admit that the overwhelming majority of this 2 BILLION was done by FOX News. Granted other media outlets were reporting on Trump, but he didn't shack up on their T.V. screens as what happened on FOX NEWS.

I always refer to Donald Trump as the accidential nominee because 54% of the Republican party voted for other GOP candidates in the primary. It was a comedy of RNC errors that gave you Donald Trump.

1. 17 GOP candidates running against one woman was a little over the top. Why so many candidates--read this.
Fox News Hurts Conservative Movement | National Review

2. The RNC using polling data to create 2 debate stages, and against the advice of the pollsters themselves. Donald Trump with 100% name recognition, kept him front and center throughout the debates giving the impression, he was the imminent nominee, so the not so politically smart Republicans voted for him.
Pollsters: Don't trust us to winnow GOP field - POLITICO

Trump was just the benefactor of too many GOP candidates in this race. Votes & donation pools were being split everywhere. Scott Walker & Rick Perry saw it when they dropped out of the race immediately, and warned all other candidates, that if they didn't drop out Donald Trump would be the nominee. They were right.

3. Add to this right wing talk radio and those on FOX News that kept promoting this chimpanzee, with unprecedented news coverage, and not informing their audiences of who Donald Trump really was. Whom are also responsible for shattering the Republican party into pieces with 3 or more daily hours of right wing hyperbole, half truths and misconceptions. Continually violating Reagan's 11th commandment, "thou shall not speak ill of a fellow Republican"--basically eating their own. All for political entertainment, ratings and those obscene profit breaks.

Trump was on all news networks ---- CONSTANTLY. Fox gave him the most positive coverage, yes.

The difference is CNN is not having to lie to create the outrage. If anybody but Trump won, CNN's ratings wouldn't be up.

Correct. They don't lie. They invent.

Trump was on all news networks ---- CONSTANTLY. Fox gave him the most positive coverage, yes.

Not sure about the campaign, but for the first 100 days even the majority of Fox's coverage was negative.

FOX News turned into the Trump media networks during the primaries while ignoring all other GOP candidates. They OWN him now, and they know it. As far as I am concerned after Sean Hannity in this Seth Rich fabricated story--they have the credibility of a Tabloid magazine.

Hannity continually praising Julian Assange (Wikileaks) founder who was just labeled a hostile intelligence source of this nation who often works with Russia, by CIA chief Pompeo, & he's still talking about Assange.

Trump and his supporters sure loved Assange also

Sara Palin even apologized to him--LOL
http://www.businessinsider.com/sarah-palin-apologizes-to-julian-assange-2017-1

I don't know how Republicans can watch this crap and still refer to themselves as Patriots of this country? Did you people forget what Julian Assange did to G.W. Bush--basically putting a target on every American soldiers back--which is why he has been hole'd up in the Ecuador Embassy for the last 4 years avoiding extradition back to the U.S. to face charges because of that. And you believe what Julian Assange and Sean Hannity have to say? Really!

"This week, upon learning that Julian Assange had recently been invited to address the same summit, President Bush decided to cancel his appearance," Sherzer said. "The former president has no desire to share a forum with a man who has willfully and repeatedly done great harm to the interests of the United States."

Well other than the insults and blather he put out, you would tell me what it was that impressed you with an direct answer. Because he didn't win any. He exemplified how unqualified and experienced he was in each and every debate.

Who did you vote for?

One Rachael Mad Cow to replace a FOX News mad cow. It's the same as it ever was. LOL.

Any right or left wing media is going to spin it to suit their audiences political leanings. No argument there.
