Russian Election Interference - A Tempest in a Teapot?

It's OK that you both can't face the reality of my enumerated points or refute them.

Sorry you're so frightened

No one is frightened of your scary intellect or your meaningless posts. What you posted is not evidence that a crime has occurred or that collusion took place. You posted innuendo, not evidence. An investigation into Russian involvement into the election is indeed occurring, but that is not evidence that someone colluded with the Russians. You are pretending that it is.

No one is frightened of your scary intellect or your meaningless posts.

LOL! By being compelled to whine that they're 'meaningless', you're just further demonstrating your fear. Or your intellectual dishonesty. Or both.
What you posted is not evidence that a crime has occurred or that collusion took place.

Strawman. I never claimed that it was direct evidence, so spare me your nonsense, please.
You posted innuendo, not evidence.

All the points I posted are factual. You seem to have a very difficult time accepting that reality, and you're clearly not capable of rebutting it, or you would have already.
An investigation into Russian involvement into the election is indeed occurring, but that is not evidence that someone colluded with the Russians. You are pretending that it is.

Yawn. Another lie. I never stated that it was. Go back and reread what I posted.

For months now, the Democrats and the mainstream media have kept up a constant drumbeat of Russian interference with the 2016 election, collusion of the Trump campaign with the Russians to undermine Hillary, and meeting with and the firing of the FBI director as a clear act of obstruction of justice. We are now spending millions of dollars on a special prosecutor whose job, according to the worst of the Trump haters in the Democratic party, the MSM, social media, and message boards, is to indict the President and impeach him.

Yet again and again the Russian connection, one that has no doubt existed for decades, has failed to produce the desired smoking gun:

Ex-Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson’s testimony Wednesday should mark the definitive end of “Russia hacked the election” hysteria. Too bad it took so long to get to this point.Johnson told the House Intelligence Committee outright that the Russians failed to alter “ballots, ballot counts or reporting of election results.”

Yes, it’s clear Russia (with Vladimir Putin’s full approval) orchestrated cyberattacks designed to influence the 2016 contest, and also pushed fake news.

But the hack, and release via WikiLeaks, etc., of Democratic emails produced nothing game-changing. The biggest impact was to confirm the obvious: The Democratic National Committee favored Hillary Clinton from the start.

And fake news mainly feeds people’s existing prejudices — which serves Putin’s goal of undermining our democracy, but fails to flip votes from one party to the other.

Johnson also made it plain that Democrats didn’t take the problem too seriously: “The FBI and the DNC had been in contact with each other months before about the intrusion, and the DNC did not feel it needed DHS’s assistance at that time.”. . .

Good riddance to the Russia myth — and blame Team Obama for promoting it | New York Post

At what point do honorable Americans back off this non stop politics of personal destruction and get back to the business of pulling together to make America better, stronger, more unified, and productive for all?

If Trump is so innocent then why did he fire Comey after he announced the investigation into the Russian interference scandal? Possibly committing obstruction of justice is not how a president should get their point across.

The "collusion" aspect is a sideshow. Maybe it happened, maybe it didn't.

I want the government to prevent foreign powers, especially hostile ones from interfering in our electoral process in the future, and I want any agents of those powers or individuals who are controlled by those powers purged from our government. If crimes were committed, try them.

Wrong. Trump was never under investigation for collusion. Comey testified as such. If Trump and co are lawyering up it is because of stupid and potentially illegal things Trump did as president in response to the investigation. Again, you are conflating two separate things and pretending they are the same. There was no collusion. There may have been obstruction. I doubt it, but Trump does some pretty dumb things.

I didn't say Trump was under investigation for collusion. However, obstructing the investigation that's investigating collusion....seems connected to me.

Really? May have been? That's the best you've got? Hey, have you seen the other thread where the left has finally given up on everything and now want Trump impeached for driving his golf cart up on the green?

Go ahead and make fun....meanwhile Trump and almost everyone around him is under investigation by congress and the FBI.

So you solution is to turn a blind eye to the Russian meddling and invite them to keep doing it? All to protect a possible traitor who put a Russian stooge into the most sensitive job in our Govt. Not in a million years.

Did I say the solution was to turn a blind eye? We have excellent intelligence people investigating the Russian matter--more than you probably realize--and ALL so far say there is nothing pointing to President Trump and his campaign. So why do we have a special prosecutor? For the sole reason to investigate whether President Trump is somehow involved, which so far all intelligence people say there is no indication or suspicion or evidence that he is.

If Trump is so innocent then why did he fire Comey after he announced the investigation into the Russian interference scandal? Possibly committing obstruction of justice is not how a president should get their point across.

He fired Comey after many advisors, both Democrat and Republican pointed out that he should be fired. It had nothing to do with the Russian investigation that Comey had nothing to do with hands on and which those in the FBI who are working on it assured that Comey's leaving would not interfere with that in any way.

So do I. And that is why it is absolutely absurd, even criminal, to be expending the people's resources on trying to 'get' President Trump instead of focusing all that time and money on the actual investigation itself that has been going for much longer than President Trump has been an issue.

LOL! By being compelled to whine that they're 'meaningless', you're just further demonstrating your fear. Or your intellectual dishonesty. Or both.
Actually, its non of the above. That's just you living in that fantasy world you so often speak of.

Strawman. I never claimed that it was direct evidence, so spare me your nonsense, please.
Really?? So what was the purpose of that little list of yours?

All the points I posted are factual. You seem to have a very difficult time accepting that reality, and you're clearly not capable of rebutting it, or you would have already.
While they may be factually correct, they are not evidence of what you claim them to be evidence of--collusion.

Yawn. Another lie. I never stated that it was. Go back and reread what I posted.
I see. Now that you are cornered and expected to put up or shut up, you are pretending what you said wasn't what you said. That's pathetic but not surprising. There is no evidence of collusion. Period. But that wont stop the hateful, angry left from pretending otherwise. Carry on.

I didn't say Trump was under investigation for collusion. However, obstructing the investigation that's investigating collusion....seems connected to me.

Then we don't disagree all that much.

Riiiiight. Did you miss the part where Donald changed his own story about why he fired Comey? Did you miss the part where he told Comey to take an oath of loyalty?

Actually, its non of the above. That's just you living in that fantasy world you so often speak of.

Newp. Not even close. You have to dismiss things based in reality and thus expose your intellectual dishonesty.
Really?? So what was the purpose of that little list of yours?

Wow. If you have to pretend that that needs to be asked, it's just more proof of that intellectual dishonesty.
While they may be factually correct, they are not evidence of what you claim them to be evidence of--collusion.

Seriously, if you're just going to lie like that, why bother posting at all. I've never made that claim.

Go ahead and cite where I stated what you're claiming I stated.

Your intellectual cowardice is now on full display next to your intellectual dishonesty.

Sorry you couldn't back up yet another of your claims.

We need a new ad ASAP as to why the GOP house and trump are sitting on a Russia sanctions bill that passed the senate 97-2.

All GOP lawmakers at every level should be held accountable for what Ryan/trump are doing with Russia .

This is the post we are discussing. In case you forgot.
It's just astonishing how the intellectually lazy need this to be pointed out to them almost on an hourly basis.

A. No smoking gun is necessary at this time
B. There was enough circumstantial evidence to get PC to start the investigations.
C. There was enough to get FISA warrants.
D. Major players have been caught lying under oath about their contacts/communications with Russians and Russian intelligence.
E. One of those major players publicly asked for immunity and his lawyer stated he, 'has a story to tell'.
F. Many in Trump's inner circle have now lawyered up. Hell, one of those lawyers has now lawyered up.
G. Two clandestine attempts to create very suspicious back channels occurred, one of them apparently at the Russian embassy using Russian cryptographic systems

I could go on, but I don't want to ruin your trip whistling past that graveyard.
And this is where the discussion has led.

So tell me, what is it I am lying about or lack the intellectual honesty to discuss?

You have directly stated that I have claimed there is evidence of collusion. That is a lie. Not to worry, I've come to expect that from you.

Glad I could clear that up for you.

Except you posted that garbage in response to an OP that was discussing the collusion issue. So the dishonest one here, as if there were really any doubt, is you.

Where are the tapes trump deceptively threatened Comey with and how do honest trumprotectors like you continue to defend this embarrassment in chief.

Imagine what sleazy GOP admen would do to trump/McConnell after the ads we saw tying Ossoff to the Scalise shooting ?!

Yup, there's goes you rabid dishonesty again. Every single point I posted is factual, and they all add up to the reason the investigations into collusion were started in the first place. I never claimed they were or that there is direct evidence of collusion. You, being dishonest, have to pretend that I actually made that claim.

Sorry that you got caught in a lie again. You seem to be really, really angry about that.

Bummer.

I am not angry about anything, except maybe that I have voluntarily wasted so much time responding to your idiocy. But it is good to see you finally admit that there is no evidence of collusion between Trump and the Russians which was, of course, the thrust of the OP that you were arguing against. I guess that keeping you typing long enough and you will spit out something honest. Just not sure it is really worth all the effort.

I know this is hard for you to understand, but pointing out the dishonesty of Trump haters is not the same as defending Trump.

LOL! I don't have to admit to what I never alleged. Sorry you got caught in a lie and it's upset you so. Really glad I could set you straight on your narrative not based in reality.

Seriously, why keep posting if all you're going to do is lie? What's the point?
