Democrats have been calling Republicans subhuman haters for over 70 years. FDR called Coolidge a Nazi in 1944, and Walter Cronkite did the same to Barry Goldwater 20 years later.

There's nothing new about the Democrat hate directed at Trump and his supporters, except perhaps in terms of the desperation it shows.

The Republican Party was there in the trenches flinging mud back. Hyper-partisan should be abolished not advocated. These types of threads that are solely about trying to trigger the opposite party just clog up the pages and slow the progression of meaningful debate and discussion.

I feel like we are on the verge of a civil war. I think the left's indifference and callousness may be the final match to light the inferno. Its sad that people are going to need to die in order to settle this dispute.

Fights are a form of debate...

The GOParty of hatred has been planning for a civil war since Clinton was first elected. Try the number of best sellers on the subject.

Listen to GOPosters brag who has the vast majority of the over 300 million guns, to right wing hate radio, to RWers brag who the military will side with .

I have to agree. I have never seen such bias hatred in all my life.

GOPs have a strange habit of skipping over the years when DEMs are POTUS .

The hatred as we know it began with Nixon, since we're all about 100% blame in this thread.

It got worse with Iran-Contra. No amount of revenge will satisfy the right .

Indeed. Continue to pour gas on the fire, and then are surprised, and claim innocence, when the house burns down. Irresponsible, if you ask me.

Whatever you need to tell yourself for comfort, as your stepping over the corpses lining the streets I guess.

I acknowledge the racial bias against Obama. I heard it way too often by people from both parties. However the bias hatred of Trump driven by our media is way beyond anything I have ever witnessed other than the examples I have studied from pre Nazi Germany.

The hype from our media is giving all these sick people exactly what they want. There day of fame and notoriety.

Plus the hatred perpetuated towards Obama and now Trump by our media is very likely to set off the mentally unstable. These people are exposed day after day to the bias hatred put forth by our media and it could easily be the final factor that sets these nuts off.

Which corpses would those be that I'm stepping over in the streets, trouble13?

When do you think the alt/far right will stop fundraising and trying to score political points off of this shooting ?

I was 14-yo when Nixon was first elected in 1968; when he was accused by both parties of interfering in the peace talks during the election. He turned media bashing into an art form.

Since then, all I've ever known is this back and forth hate, each side blaming the other for being worse. Now we have Americans blaming both sides, as if they've never been part of the hate.

The USA is mentally broken. Others would add to my broken list. What a sad state of affairs we pass down to the younger generations .

First let me walk that back. I try to refrain from being hyperbolic and i let that get away from me in that post. I was of course speaking metaphorically.

Yeah the political right will use this to score points just as the left does when the roles are reversed. Not sure about your point.

I started out as a democrat. I then started listening to what they promised and what they delivered and switched to the republican party. I ran into the exact same problem of lots of promises but never any delivery on those promises.

I then started voting for the best person from my point of view. It didn't take long to figure out none of the people running had the interest of the people. The parties could never come together to do anything for We the People. Both parties always blamed the other for not getting anything done. But they always worked together when their rich and powerful masters needed something.

The real evidence for me was NAFTA. The democrats were totally against NAFTA when Bush was pushing it. Then Clinton took office and I was sure NAFTA was history but low and behold all of a sudden now the democrats are for NAFTA. I then realized that our leaders were puppets of the rich and had no intention of doing anything for the hard working taxpayer. When the housing bubble collapsed both parties came together including Bush and Obama to give trillions of dollars to the billionaire bankers. Once again the rich and powerful got what they wanted as fast as our leaders could get it to them.

I looked into who funds the 2 parties. To my surprise all the big bankers funded both parties almost 50/50. They own both parties and fund both candidates and could care less who we elected. If you want to know who truly rigged all our elections the answer is the rich and powerful who own all the candidates and give us only the illusion of choice.

Another drive by lowdown thread. You can set your watch to it.

The media had to be a lot more careful with their wording when referring to Obama because he was black naturally but it was there just more politically correct.

Err. Sorry, but what sticks in my mind was the 'love in' with Steve Croft of 60 minutes, Obama and Hillary, and my over all impression that this was more often the case than not.

When was the press ever hard or exhibited 'hatred' (your word, not mine) towards Obama? Can you cite some examples?

They slathered love juice all over themselves and jumped in bed fast enough.

"During these first 100 days, what has surprised you the most about
this office? Enchanted you the most from serving in this office?
Humbled you the most? And troubled you the most?"

Pretty far from you are a piece of S***T!

I saw the thread title before I saw who posted it, and I already knew who had posted it. Why am I utterly unsurprised that you barfed up another partisan hack job?

Of course it's all "the left's" fault. Conservatives haven't taken responsiblilty for a goddamn thing for damn near 40 years. Why start now?
