I am blaming the establishment for being juvenile jerks who have refused to take care of the country, they decided that their Palace Games were more important.

Are there any adults to be found in America Anymore, can anyone do things right and well anymore?

Absolutely.

But Captain, it took many many years to get here, the abuse of systems and the abuse of decency from people on both sides who generally dont give a damn about what harm they cause as they pursue their will of the moment. These assholes are willing to wreck everything to get their way, even the English language, which pisses me the **** off. Both sides do it, I have had my fill of both of them. The American people have to come first everyday, even though we all know that the American people behave terribly towards our servants, but then again a big part of the reason people are like they are is because our leaders have trained us to be like this so you see there Captain....here we are right back in the soup!

You're preaching to the choir. I've been making posts like you did above for over 10 years here at DP. I've written a couple in the past few days. On two occasions I started "movements" here at DP, encouraging people to go after the asshole extremists of the other and THEIR OWN side. I'm tired of the stupid rhetoric and hate perpetuated by both the right and the left, and I am tired of the idiots who believe that it's only the other side who does it. It's not only our leaders, though they are a big part of the problem. It's too many citizens who get their information from "infotainment" sites and channels. The media is a big part of the problem, but an uninformed citizenry who prefer fast food news... and fast food EVERYTHING rather than actually examining the issues is also a big part of the problem. I'm not sure if the American people are just stupid or lazy. Or maybe both.

The American people are scared Captain, this is at heart a spiritual problem, as most of the huge problems are.
 
And a further point. This thread is a good example of exactly what I am talking about. It's a stupid thread with a stupid premise because it only presents one side of the coin. There is PLENTY of Republican hate that goes around and it's been around for as long as Democrat hate has been. But when people start threads that blame and point fingers at ONE side, what do you think happens? Two things. All the extremists and hacks on THAT side, join in and say "yeah! Right! The other side sucks!' and the extremists on the other side say, "no... you guys do it too! You do it worse! you guys suck". And then we have two groups of extremist hacks demonizing entire groups of people. Now, that's not the real problem. The real problem is when non-extremists from either side wander in the thread. What they see is someone demonizing their side... which demonizes them. The natural human response is to defend oneself and to look at the attacking side, negatively. So, what do threads like this and comments like we see here do? They CREATE division. There have been MANY stupid Republican comments, especially during the Obama years that created division. And there have been many stupid Democrat comments that have also created division. AND there have been many stupid comments on this site that have created division... from both sides of the political spectrum.

I may not always agree with Hawkeye, but on this occasion, I want to echo a word he used: ENOUGH.

I don't agree. I know scared. The American people are mad and constantly misdirect their anger. And that anger has caused many of them to cease thinking rationally.
