The 5 Primary Talking Points:

(1) Comey is threateningly tall and disarmingly handsome in a boyish sorta way but lying beneath this manly alluring facade lies an insidious, sinister and pernicious hero to the far-left whose mission is to annihilate the 45th POTUS.

(2) Since January there has been a politically motivated plan, orchestrated by the Democrat Party and its loyal MSM, to totally discredit and ultimately destroy the Trump Presidency.

(3) Comey is either knowingly or unwittingly a part of this plan and IMO this longtime Washington insider is too smart and politically connected to be "unwitting" of anything.

(4) Comey has already admitted to leaking confidential government documents, making him indictable for a Felony.

(5) As for now, Trump has absolutely ZERO evidence to link him to any crime, including "Colluding with Putin".

If such evidence existed, at least one of the 17 intelligence agencies investigating "Russian US election tampering" would have surely found and leaked it by now!
Intelligence Chiefs Stand Behind Finding That Russia Hacked U.S. Political System : NPR

We'll see what the coming days produce; but even if it's nothing, I'm sure the left will continue pushing its concocted narrative that "all evidence points to Trump's guilt"!

In the immortal words of the greatest President (so far anyway) of the 21st Century; "Sad"!

I finally figured it out!!!

The Deep State used Comey to torpedo Clinton and get Trump elected. Now, the Deep State must torpedo Trump to get noted Deep State whore Pence as POTUS! Then we will all be slaves to the evil socialist Deep State!:lamo Bye:2wave:

I'll address your 4th point. Comey did not admit to leaking confidential documents. He "leaked" his personal written account of his conversations with Trump that he intentionally kept unclassified. There are zero laws against former government employees discussing unclassified conversations they had.

Meh. He came across as pretty honest to me.

Such an even-handed and non-partisan analysis. Bravo.

Issue is Comey said he leaked it as a result of one of Trump's tweets.

The NYT article was posted before Trump's tweet... which very well means he (Comey) might've lied.

Yeah, I don't agree with all of his actions, but based on the sum total he seems like a reasonable guy trying to do his job.

Sounds like might be a good candidate in the next presidential election for the Democrats.

I have always kind of liked him. He seems highly intelligent, well educated and honorable.

Comey never torpedoed Clinton; he in fact helped her by assuring her supporters she wouldn't be indicted.

Poor Hillary torpedoed herself...Her and her entire campaign were disastrous train wrecks from the get-go!

When a government employee meets with The President in the Oval Office; it is confidential until the POTUS says otherwise; regardless of whether the "leaks" are factual or fictional!

I'm pretty sure he would have had that matter checked out. i suspect there are differences of opinion.

That is false. I held a TS security clearance for 20 years. I have been a security control officer in several embassies. I have attended meetings with 3 different Presidents. I have received extensive training on what constitutes classified information. Conversations with the President are not, in and of themself, classified. Location has no bearing.

They may very well be considered "privileged" but revealing privileged conversations is a fireable offense, not a criminal one.

Now, you can very easily prove me wrong. All you have to do is copy and paste the part of the US criminal code or regulation that states all conversations between the President and government employees in the Oval Office are classified CONFIDENTIAL or higher until the President says otherwise.

Having been tested on every applicable code and regulation regarding the handling and dissemination of classified material I will save you the time. It doesn't exist. But I too am not a fan of argument from authority so feel free to search for yourself.

Yep; those tall attractive silver tongue politicians with beautiful smiles, who can capture your trust and admiration by spoon feeding you half facts, meaningless information and wonderful promises, usually become very successful candidates.

It's long been part of the genetic programming common to most genus Homo Sapiens.

Actually, I don't need to cut and paste the US Criminal Code.

My search ended when Comey testified that Trump instructed the other people present to leave the room.

And when the POTUS instructs everyone else to leave the room one can safely assume it's because the conversation will be confidential!

You may not be a fan of "argument from authority" but how about a fan of argument from 'common sense'?

(And I totally agree that the location or room in question is inconsequential)

People need to read this which is just about perfect in looking this scandal.

The Scandal Hiding In Plain Sight - POLITICO Magazine

It describes perfectly what is right there for all to see while Trump wants us to debate the details of his weekly misdirections.

Yes. It's the collection of Russian connections that just happen to surround Trump and their business dealings I'm interested in learning about, not the Comey sideshow.

So, IOW, you have zero idea what you're talking about, your 'point' was just utterly destroyed, and you seem to be having a hard time accepting it now.

Maybe he'd turn out to be a "no-brainer" like Rubio? LOL!

Actually, whatever his faults, Comey is a lot smarter than Trump (admittedly that isn't a ringing endorsement).

There are lots of things that common sense tells me should be illegal. But that isn't how the law works. You can think it should be illegal because common sense tells you it should. But unless it is codified in law, it is not a law. We have well established laws and regulations that establish what should be classified, how to classify it, and how to unclassify it. If you want to add to that body of laws then write your congress members and petition them to do so. But until they do, people are free to do what Comey did and there is nothing the government can do but fire them.

There is an exception. Members of the military are held to a more broad and tough standard. Just about any behavior the chain of command disapproves of could be prosecuted as behavior unbecoming an officer. But civilians have much more specific standards.

Yea; but Rubio didn't become a "no-brainer" till Trump entered the primaries and hammered him relentlessly.

Actually, whatever his faults, Comey is a lot smarter than Trump (admittedly that isn't a ringing endorsement).
I agree; but underestimating Comey could be politically dangerous.

All one must do is remember back to 2016 and how Trumps rivals (both dems and pubs) underestimated him!

Was Comey the hero to the far-left when they were all calling for his head last year or was that just fake news?

The Comey testimony is a step that take us down the path a bit. The financial material is going to be the stake in the heart of the vampire that gives clarity and underpinnings to his Russia friendly administration. .

I note 2 things. Trump seems far more intent on trying to protect Flynn than anyone else, and Flynn offered to testify in exchange for immunity.

We need to know what Flynn knows.
