Nunes reminds me of a frustrated namby-pamby, who after losing a fight and sulking, has reemerged.

His prior attempt to cast shade on the Trump-Russian Investigation resulted in unresolved ethics complaints against him. Apparently, his respite from the public spotlight has re-emboldened him.

I thought he stepped aside from this investigation? Kinda? Sorta? Nah.... not in this era of Alternative Facts!

How do you like your job now Rep. Nunes?

Nunes is like the piece of waste you try to flush down the toilet and it keeps bobbing up again and again. He should simply get out of the way and shut his mouth before he embarrasses himself even further with his toady sycophant sucking up to Trump.

"I will continue to fulfill all my responsibilities as Committee Chairman, and I am requesting to speak to the Ethics Committee at the earliest possible opportunity in order to expedite the dismissal of these false claims," Nunes said.

The subpoenas are part of the "responsibilities" he mentioned.

In other words he didn't recuse himself in this situation like he said he would. Like trump he is a liar.

This is what happens when the normal democratic processes of a constitutional checks-and-balances government gets run aground by party control.

But he recused himself.

He should not be part of the Russian investigation process.

You're playing with words ...

Well, so far the only crime we KNOW of is the release of Flynn's name and, perhaps, the unmasking of it. To that end it's nice that at least someone is interested in investigating that.

His subpoenas aren't about "Russiagate". They involve the unmasking and release of Flynn's name.

I think you folk have a funny spin you like to put on the chain of events. Nunes actions completely changed the complexion of the investigation from a worthless exchange to something with real and actual depth. We wet from no context and certainly no results from those House hearings (seriously...did you actually watch any of them?) to suddenly learning that inf act (and contrary to the lies told by the heads of the security agencies) there was in fact a long history of spying on the Trump campaign, that over 1900 people had been unmasked at the direction of agents within the Obama administration (and without warrants), and that there wer databases of calls ad individuals turned over to people for political gain. Meanwhile after all the fuming and preening, the head democrats have all been forced to admit Nunes had actually done nothing wrong, just as they later have gone on to admit that still..after all this time...there has been no evidence of collusion. Now...we shall certainly see how this all shakes out, but so far? The rat chase of Trump has produced nothing. And while rats like to talk about 'smoke'...it will be interesting to hear finally who actually did what and under who's authority.

Recuse has legal connotations.

No, this is what happens when people read into words and statements things that aren't there. You were duped by the alphabet newsies, you should have read his complete statement.

Okay... wink wink... you may be right! I recognize your reliance on Alternative Facts and appreciate your TrumpWorld updates!

Thanks for straightening me out! But for you and other Truthers, I would have continued to propagate False News.

No "Alternative Facts" to it, Flynn's and Page's names were leaked and that's illegal.

Quick!!

Make up ANOTHER bogus ethics complaint. Got to stop Nunes!!

He never said He recused himself.

He may not have used the actual word but he promised to step aside from the Russian investigation, which is the practise.

"House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes announced Thursday morning that he is stepping aside from his panel’s investigation into Russia’s meddling in the U.S. election.

The California Republican suggested he made the decision because he said several “leftwing activist groups” filed accusations against him with the Office of Congressional Ethics. He said their charges are “entirely false and politically motivated.”

“Despite the baselessness of the charges, I believe it is in the best interests of the House Intelligence Committee and the Congress for me to have Representative Mike Conaway, with assistance from Representatives Trey Gowdy and Tom Rooney, temporarily take charge of the Committee’s Russia investigation while the House Ethics Committee looks into this matter,” Nunes said in a statement. ..."

The ethics committee is still looking. He lied.

Factor in Trump obstructing justice gives cause for Impeachment and subsequent Conviction.

How would you prioritize these cases?
