2018: Democrats See HUGE Wave

Stop it .... people need to get off their ass, register and Vote!

You and I are only one Vote each.

WE ... need to get others to get off their lazy ass and Vote every 2 years, and Vote in Local Elections.

Politics is always like that (in contemporary US politics really).

The majority party makes corrupt decisions that the common people don't like, and the minority party (in this case the Dems) will win the next votes because of the low favorability of the majority party. Trump is no different in this process.

Politics is now a reality tv show, not a body that helps all people in its borders.

If anyone can screw up an opportunity to get elected it's Democrats. I'd like to see a shake up, but I will be cautiously optimistic.

The Democrats could dick up a two-car funeral procession; however, the more the GOP stands with a stonewalling Trump who has made it abundantly clear he has something to hide, the better it is for the Dems.

I am not a member of any organized party — I am a Democrat.

Didn't that guy say something about Hillary sweeping the country about 6 months ago? You know...on election night? Maybe I'm thinking of someone else.

Maybe you should look it up and provide a link.

I don't know how much more of a gift Democrats could get than what they have now. Between Trump's scandals and the attention being paid to the GOP healthcare and budget plans it seems like a complete softball.

The republicants are apt to prove that they can be "the party of no" even with House and Senate majorities and (sort of) a POTUS. ;)

A zillion things can change between now and November 2018. But early odds have to favor at least large gains for the Democrats. Taking the House may be impossible due to the GOP's gerrymandered stranglehold on numerous states, but it's conceivable.

Meh.

If they keep running the same tired old candidates using the same tired old platform, I wouldn't count on it.

The first thing I'd do if I ran the DNC?

"Hillary, you're retired! Bubba', now you take good care of her!"

The incessant negativity of the liberal msm drumbeat is certainly doing what it can. It is a pity that the collateral damage it is doing us domestically and around the world is so irresponsibly large.

Oh god. What damage is the "liberal msm" doing?

Maybe coverage is negative because Trump is a grifting disaster.

The damage is rather widely visible. Of course, one has to follow the media reporting in the various countries and the related opiniin measurements. And one needs to have done so over time or have studied how reporting impacts public support in different countries.
There is the thing. Reporting real behavior is fine. Pitching negative froth, on the other hand, is not fine.

If the damage is "rather visible," you shouldn't have much trouble telling me what it is. Remember, this is "damage" strictly due to the MSM being so gosh-durn liberal.

Well, just this morning. The trara that the US msm have been making has blown up things like information sharing with the US as a risk has fed the EU media and anti American feelings. An agency leak to NYT has therefore been picked up across media reporting in the EU, led to an official discontinuation of information flow to the US from the police investigation of an international terrorist attack in Manchester and made to an international incident to be brought up at the Nato meeting between May and Trump.

Of course, there will be people that do not understand the significance of this. But that is part of the problem. But, when you have people blaming "the USA" for hindering and sabotaging the investigation as is happening and has happened to a certain extent even on this forum, then the grossly negligent reporting is having a disturbing effect.

Nah...not that interested.

But if you are, you have my permission.

1. So the problem isn't the agency leak, it's reporting it. Oh.

2. Not a thing you just described has dick-all to do with the media being "liberal."

Yeah they need someone young, fresh and exciting and no Bernie Sanders doesn't count.

No. Not at all. That isn't what I said. The leak is a problem and a separate one is the blowing the thing up to a storm. You see, this is a consequence of the trara that msm have been making about the Israeli and Duterte thing and are part and parcel to the storm after storms in teacups they have been going on about and making it look as though they were important without, however, reliable and robust information to support the allegations and outrage. I realize that you are talking your book. But that has become the problem with information sources of late and exactly the danger I am trying to point out to you. We do not live independent of the world. But we are acting as though we did.

1. WTF is a trara

2. You still haven't come close to answering my question.

Yeah because the RWNJ media didn't do ANYTHING negative against Obama, Hillary or the Dems right? More victim mentality coming from the right because their messiah Trump and the Republicans are being "picked on" because the media reports on what they say and do. Pathetic that damn media actually holding Trump accountable for what he says.

There you err. The msm was having a problem during the Obama administration too. It just hadn't gone into continuous ****storm mode of hysterical bias frothing. That happened as the campaigns began in earnest.
