I have to give credit where credit is due! So far DJT is hitting it outta the park! Not over yet, but I'm impressed, so far.

And, unless the park is for midgets...I HIGHLY doubt he is hitting it 'outta the park'.

Unless he said, the Saudi Royal Family MUST IMMEDIATELY allow full democracy and give women equal rights to men - which he won't - than there is no way his speech is 'is hitting it outta the park' for me.

Yes. The US certainly is more respected and has greater dignity around the world with Trump in office.

Hardly anyone is laughing at him.

It was a solid speech. He didn't pull any punches but also didn't throw any unnecessary ones. He set a positive tone even when calling out Iran.

I was impressed with the way that he came across as a team builder rather than a team leader. I think it set a much different tone than I've seen from prior administrations.

As an aside, that room was freaking amazing!

I don't really know, but I do know that multi-national coordinated efforts have a much greater effect than each nation doing their own thing. I also know that a formal multi-national agreement focuses all those nations.

Cutting off the money supply from the Islamic extremists has the potential to inflict great operational difficulties on them, as an ideology with an empty belly and an empty rifle isn't going to keep many fighters in the ranks.

So you don't know but you make the claim anyway. Nice. Here's a hint, there already was a corrdinated effort in play and trump hasn't changed that one bit. There are no new countries involved that trump has brought in. I know you want to believe the world is magically better just by trump being president trump but that isn't factual at all. Just delusional.

Hey, previous presidents could have done something like this, attended something like this, forged relationships like this, but didn't. As much as you'd like to try, you can't take that away from Trump.

Without a doubt US contribution and support to this effort, those nations banding together in a common goal, the effort will have greater impact than without US contribution and support.

Even if you ignore all that, its still a historic moment in that 50 Muslim states have formally agreed to fight those that have corrupted their own religion into something that it's not, and this is a very significant first of many (one hopes).

Trump reads prepared speech fairly competently.

People fall over themselves proclaiming him a great President.

Shows up at a conference of 50 Muslim nations.

People declare him great for getting these nations to agree to fight terrorism, (even though all he gave was a speech?) which they have been doing all along.

Many have been calling for moderate Muslims to recognize and join in combating the Islamist. 50 Muslim nation have now formally done this.

No I didn't ignore it you tried to attribute this all to trump and as I pointed out, yes we can take that from him because this was already in motion it wasn't his "speech"'or anything else he's done. In fact his past rhetoric and wanting a Muslim ban (yes he said Muslim ban during the campaign) has most likely done more harm to the alliance than anything else.

So much so the Saudi's rolled out the royal red carpet, personally met on the tarmac by the Saudi King, an 80-some year old man felt it important enough to stand in the 107 degree heat to do so.

Counter balance to your negativity and minimization of anything positive.

Royal treatment and personal greeting isn't 'normal diplomatic honors'. Was Obama greeted by the Saudis in the same matter, I wonder?

No, I"m no TrumpBot. I have legitimate criticisms of him. Reasserting US leadership on the international stage isn't one of them.

Perhaps you need to reexamine why there is not a single positive thing you can find about Trump, his policies, or his actions?
