Ryan threatens the freedom caucus with another democratic-friendly healthcare bill:

“This is a can-do president, who’s a business guy, who wants to get things done, and I know that he wants to get things done with a Republican Congress, but if this Republican Congress allows the perfect to be the enemy of the good, I worry we’ll push the president into, um, working with the Democrats; he’s suggested as much,” he added.

Which doesn't sit well with Senator Bob Corker (R, Tennessee):

“We have come a long way in our country when the speaker of one party urges a president NOT to work with the other party to solve a problem.” Corker said in a tweet Thursday morning.

I have to agree with Senator Corker on this one.

I'm more appalled that he thinks the atrocious AHCA was "the good."

But yes, given that the GOP has proven for seven years that it has nothing to offer on health care, if Trump wants to get something done he'll have to turn to the Democrats. As frightening as that prospect may be to this do-nothing Speaker.

Ryan is a pretty disgusting person. "If we don't stop the Democrats now even more people might get healthcare!"

Well, it took a while, but we actually agree on something. I have been saying since even before he was elected that Trump would have more trouble with republicans than democrats. He is a deal maker, not an ideologue. If the right wont work with him, he will work with the left. He is more comfortable with the left anyways.
