Background:
1. Trump has already tried to push through a highly polarizing Health Care Bill
2. Trump has stated he is open to working with democrats
3. Trump is working with Labor Unions to "build the wall"; Foreign contracts to build pipelines etc...

4. He is signing E.O.s Left and Right.
5. He is wasting taxpayer money on NYC, Florida, and DC Trips.

The first three are three big ticket items that if any other Republican did or stated that they would do on their campaign, would automatically get them ridiculed for being a RINO. The Difference? Trump said he would do the opposite. The difference? Trump lied. Trump doesn't know how to be an actual Republican.

Do people just love what they hear and don't care about the reality anymore?

People who voted for Trump knew most of that going in. We knew he wanted to change DC, the tax code, rebuild the infrastructure, help the middle class, etc...

MG, like every conservative, you simply heard what you wanted to hear.

No one will lose coverage. There will be insurance for everybody. Healthcare will be a “lot less expensive” for everyone — the government, consumers, providers.
President Donald Trump and his advisers have been talking about an Obamacare repeal and replacement plan, and making blanket statements about what it would entail, for nearly two years.

6 promises Trump has made about health care - POLITICO

So you were wrong about the first "big ticket item". And he was lying about "covering everyone" so that actually makes him a republican. And not for nothing, Ryan was "trying to push through a highly polarizing Health Care Bill". I really don't know how you missed that. The second "big ticket item" only proves that republicans obstructed President Obama. thanks for admitting that. the third isn't a "big ticket item. 5 and 6 are just disingenuous narratives invented by the conservative media to criticize president Obama.

Hey Vern.... Obama isn't President. Time to come back to reality.

Umm, Vern did not say *anything* about Obama.

Try reading before reacting....OH WAIT!! You are a republican

nevermind

He made half my post about obama when I never even mentioned his name.

President Trump is neither liberal nor conservative. He doesn't care how much the government does as long as he gets the lions share.

With Trump supporters it has always been about his persona, not stances on issues. Most of Trump's lifelong held views were very liberal. Of course he changed some to run as a Republican. Quite a lot of Trump's supporters all during the primaries and general election branded him a populist, a nationalist and even a nativist. The one brand missing was conservative. I like you believe that Trump will soon drop his pretense of being a conservative and move back to his more traditional life long held liberal views.

But what do you expect from someone who has been a Democrat three time, a Republican three times, an independent three times and even a member of my tiny Reform Party for a year. Trump has had history of being whatever would give him an advantage, call him an opportunist. I do expect Trump as time goes by to revert to his long held political views. Not the ones he changed so he could run as a Republican.

See the bold. Why are you blatantly lying?

That is what I get out of it too. They don't care that he is acting like a politician. One puff of media bias, or any other conspiracy theory to distract the masses and Trump gets away with doing everything every other politician has ever done!

The funny thing is, many people liked Trump because he "said it as it is," that should be changed to. "He says what I want to hear."
It doesn't even matter if he doesn't actually do it! Enough people are falling for his rhetoric and conspiracy theories so that doesn't matter.

That being said, he's going to be one of the most ineffectual Presidents in history because he won't get any support for any of his policies from any side.

The first bolded sentence is about republicans; not Obama. The 2nd is about the conservative media; not Obama

It doesn't matter how he polarized my post. Yes conservatives were complaining about those things for eight years, and now that Trump does the same thing, he gets a pass. What is your point exactly?

Trump said he was gonna be change. I thought he was gonna be too busy for vacation. Guess not. So somehow Trump getting a pass for this is the Conservative media's fault? Sure, if you want to say they aren't criticizing him the same way, but that's not what you are going for I bet.

Gorsuch is not a Liberal; trump's cabinet is not liberal; trump's EPA executive orders are not liberal; trump's right hand man Bannon is not a liberal; trump's bans are not liberal; trump's wall is not liberal; trump's attempts to buy off the GOP caucus on trumpcare is not liberal ;

Sorry.....Trump is ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL yours.

What I noticed about Trump during the campaign, both primary and general was he would say one thing one day, the opposite the next day and then deny saying anything at all on the third. Either that or he would make an outrageous twitter statement which caused everyone to forget his flip flops.

As for being ineffectual, I'm not sure about that. It's true his healthcare plan failed because of conservatives, not Democrats. If Trump is all about the art of deal, he may begin to work with Democrats on other things. Why not? We will just have to wait and see.

Hey Vern.... Obama isn't President. Time to come back to reality.

MG, I responded to your post. You're deflecting from mine. Now besides the fact that Trump campaigned on "coverage for everyone" the official conservative chant was "repeal and replace". that's shreds your claim that " any other Republican did or stated that they would do on their campaign, would automatically get them ridiculed for being a RINO". Oh, that's why you deflected.

And again, thanks for admitting republicans obstructed President Obama.

Are you telling me that if any other republican President promised to repeal and replace obamacare and utterly failed as quickly as Trump did, that the people screaming repeal and replace Obamacare at rallies would be A-OK with that? Really? I guarantee you that if Romney tried to get Ryan's bill passed if he was President right now, the right wing radio hosts would be calling for his resignation. Or worse.

Trump was pretty much mocking Conservative ideals all throughout the campaign and only a handful of conservatives picked up on it. I mean, sure Charlie Sheen is a liberal, but I wouldn't want him in charge of a 9/11 investigation because he says 9/11 is an inside job. That's the type of conservative Trump is.

Do you honestly believe he actually stopped being a Liberal? I don't. He fed bull**** to the faithful in order to get that job. I don't think he believed a single word of what he said.

Every time I see how much it costs for a trip to Mar-a-Lago or to house Melania in New York City/Trump Tower... the fiscal conservative in me screams...

Is it really to much to ask that you comprehend the meaning of simple English sentences?

My point was clearly expressed in the very first sentence I posted - Vern did not say anything about Obama

Part of the reason why his health care plan failed was because moderate senators and house members felt it went too far. The reason why they felt this way is because they come from purple states/districts so they have to consider the opinions of non-repubs if they want to continue their political careers
