After months of saying "No more apologies" Trump's people were forced to apologize for the false/claim that Obama has British intelligence tap/monitor Trump, a claim he heard on FOX news. Trump is a national embarrassment who has hurt the credibility of the entire nation all to appease his base. When are we going to say ENOUGH?

It's sadly ironic that after less than two months in office, Trump, who often criticized Obama for making legitimate apologies for America's historical misdeeds -- "We will stop apologizing," Trump declared -- had to send his deputies to apologize for brand new, unnecessary and deeply personal missteps.
It's easy to say why Trump plays games with the truth. By claiming that factual reports are "fake news," he undermines the credibility of his critics. By "gaslighting," the country, blurring the lines between fact and fiction, he gets to write his own version of the truth. And by putting out shocking conspiracy tales and wild allegations, he changes the subject at just the right time.

There has been no apology.
Do folks not read what they provide?

This is what is referenced by your article. Another CNN report.

Earlier in the day, however, a senior administration official told CNN that Spicer and national security adviser H.R. McMaster offered what amounted to an apology to the British government for Spicer's comments on Thursday, when he cited a Fox News report that said British intelligence helped wiretap Trump Tower during the 2016 campaign.
"I don't think we regret anything," Spicer told reporters at a gaggle Friday afternoon. Asked by CNN's Jim Acosta if there was an apology by the administration to the British government over the matter, Spicer replied, "No, we were just passing on news reports."

An unnamed senior admin Official.
That is an unnamed source. That is no better than what Napolitano referenced.

And then it says it was something that amounts to an apology. Not an actual apology.

But on top of all that, what is referenced "I don't think we regret anything," is not an apology and it clearly says there was no apology.

There has been no apology.

Of course there has been no apology. Instead Trump says go to extremist Andrew Napolitano as all Spicier did was repeat what that extremist whack job has said.

Trump is the most irresponsible and dangerous President in modern history. He is mentally damaged and does not know the difference between reality and his own self imposed delusional state. He must be removed from the office ASAP before he does irreparable damage to the nation, its people and possibly the world.

Your personal opinion about Trump is irrelevant to the facts of the OP's article's claim.

The reference material for it clearly shows that Spicer says there was no apology, which totally contradicts the unnamed source they used saying he did.

It is key and central since it brings up the consequences of having a mentally disturbed president offending our longtime allies and making the world a less safe place to live in for all.

iLOL
Playing make believe does not make it key and central when it is not in the first place.

This topic is about a supposed apology. Not your opinion about Trump.

I don't believe anything Spicer says but the British had a different story.

Earlier Friday, a spokesman for May said senior UK officials had protested to the Trump administration after the claims were repeated by Spicer.
"We've made clear to the US administration that these claims are ridiculous and should be ignored. We've received assurances that these allegations won't be repeated," May's spokesman said.

White House: No apology to British government over spying claims - CNNPolitics.com

I repeat when are we going to say enough of this clown show?

JFC! Doh! It is the article I quoted from.
Nowhere in there is there an apology.
Do you really not understand that?

They are lying about there being no apology and everyone knows that. You can be sure that Mattis groveled as best he can to smooth over Trump's newest ridiculous lie. It's now a daily occurance.

How many threads do we have going on this? 3?

So you choose to make up things to believe. That is on you.

Anyone being realistic and non-biased about this would have questioned the story as soon as it said "what amounted to an apology".

Do you think the British deserved an apology? Slanderous lies usually do and nothing the Trump Adm. says is believable so.....YES they got a hearty apology and the promise that the slander would not be repeated. Still Trump will not be invited to G.B. and his name is mud there. Which other of our allies will be next is the only question. How long can we keep this up?

No one has proven it was a lie.
And with what is known about getting around a Country's laws in regards to intelligence gathering, the story is plausible.

Congratulations, that makes you a Trump zombie. Not only is it not plausible or feasable, it is as ridiculous as the birther nonsense before. Trump's playing you like a fiddle. It's a test of independent will and you failed.

He launched a kind of trial run for the White House in 2011 by embracing birtherism, laying the groundwork for his successful 2016 bid by aligning himself with the far right, talk radio wing of the GOP. Long after most had given up speculating about Obama's birthplace -- and years after Obama released his birth certificate -- Trump clung to the racially charged conspiracy theory, insisting that there were still more unanswered questions.
It took him five years to finally let it go.
Now, it seems, Trump may have landed on a conspiracy theory that has equal staying power.
In fact, the contours of his recent Obama fixation have much in common with birtherism. With his wiretapping claims, Trump once again positions himself as the great unmasker of Obama, a fraudulent figure who isn't who he says he is -- or so the theory goes.
For Trump's base, Obama is the ready-made villain, now recast as the embodiment of the "deep state."
But with Congress, the press, (even Fox News hosts), and intelligence agencies all casting doubts on his claims, Trump is a man on an island, a familiar and comfortable place. As with birtherism, it's Trump against almost everybody, a vantage point that allows him to constantly be the embattled, populist outsider, even as he sits in the White House.

Hilariously wrong.

Not only is it not plausible or feasable, ...
:2rofll:
Doubly wrong. Which is why you provided no information to support your claim that it isn't.

That Governments have circumvented their own laws by using other Governments has been know about for a quite awhile now.
Of course it is plausible.

Give another source besides CNN, I hear nothing of an apology except by Fake News CNN

LOL So you will only take your news from the "State" channel? You will fit right in in Russia, Comrade.
Here is what the free newspapers in G.B. are saying....

Donald Trump fuels diplomatic row with Britain after apology from US officials over GCHQ wiretapping claims

Donald Trump remained unrepentant amid a diplomatic row with Britain on Friday, hours after US officials made a formal apology for accusing GCHQ of helping Barack Obama spy on the then presidential candidate.

Sean Spicer, the president's press secretary, repeated a claim on Thursday evening – initially made by an analyst on Fox News - that GCHQ was used by Mr Obama to spy on Trump Tower in the lead-up to last November's election.

The comments prompted a furious response from GCHQ, which in a break from normal practice issued a public statement: "Recent allegations made by media commentator Judge Andrew Napolitano about GCHQ being asked to conduct 'wiretapping' against the then president-elect are nonsense. They are utterly ridiculous and should be ignored."

JFC! Why do folks not pay attention to what the article they are providing says?

Intelligence sources had earlier told The Telegraph that both Mr Spicer and General McMaster, the US National Security Adviser, have apologised over the claims. "The apology came direct from them," a source said.

Anonymous sources. Doh!

As presented in the other thread.

A source(s) say we apologized? iLOL
Do you really not get that? Unidentified sources. Duh! The same thing that was revealed by Napolitano. According to sources.

[...]

And according to the other topic's information on this, there was no apology.

JUST IN: WH suggests Spicer/McMaster did NOT apologize to UK. They “explained that Mr. Spicer was simply pointing to public reports.”

No apology, as reported.

That may eventually be true but he has a long way to go to undo the damage the previous adminstration has done to this country in oh so many ways.

All you have right now is a crystal ball.

When I saw the title of the thread, as a Minnesota native, I was outraged!

I immediately thought, "Why would Trump or anyone else, apologize to Green Bay?"

Now I see I'm mistaken. No apology to Green Bay. Whew! What a relief.

Those Cheese Heads deserve whatever they get!

I'll say enough when he gets his agenda items in place. It matters not to me what he says, only what he does. He is doing the right things despite his communication lapses.

Like what? The Muslim ban? Trumpcare? Gutting the State Dept.? Kissing Putin's ass? What specifically do you like?

His agenda. None of the things you mentioned are part of it. You may want to visit the appropriate websites to learn what the agenda actually is. There is no need for me to repeat it here. It is public knowledge.

What specifically has he done that you like? At least tell me that. We are past the halfway point of "the first 100 days". Which of these 7 promises are getting done?
