That's Bush's fault, or Trumps, or mebbee those eevil Russkies, or rascists. One thing sure, it's not the fault of the personal actions of the Democrats.

I've never understood the gerrymandering issue. What the Democrats are claiming is that they get outmaneuvered every time new lines are drawn. This in spite of judges, predominately liberal, approving the lines.

No doubt, unfortunate uneducated country. What were his disastrous policies again? My 23 yr old started at $90k with an engineering degree, daughter started a $250mm business, portfolios up 10x, vacation homes, world travel. And you? Do tell.

And yet....the rats lost the senate, they lost governorship's...none of which is impacted by 'gerrymandering'.

Even democrats are pissed at failed rat tactics. But keep doing what you are doing.

i don't chuckle when i learn that districts are formed around the candidate, especially when there are algorithms that will objectively define voting districts to eliminate such preference

They were the same policies that led to the Democrats losing over 900 State legislator seats, 14 Governors, the House majority and the Senate majority and finally, the Preyoursel all in 6 years

No, Gerrymandering is why Hillary lost to Trump. Every president faces a penalty at the midterm elections...

But as I said, I do not expect cheaters to acknowledge they have cheated when they are in the dominant position. I just expect them to understand why they will face unbridled resistance from those who recognize the realities of how they obtained their "victories".

But you are free to show how the GOP did not have project REDMAP and how they did not massively fund state elections to pursue redistricting. And how they did not gerrymander the districts to lock up the House. And how that has not led to more and more extremity and lack of compromise. And how the anger of not getting anything done did not lead to the election of Trump.

It should be pretty easy to prove if it didn't happen. But it did. And the cheaters don't even know they are cheaters.

Lol, excuses excuses. Could you please explain to me how a presidential election can be gerrymandered, when in most states the popular vote is winner-take-all.

It was invented by democrats to use against federalists. named after the guy and the salamander he drew over the district.

Though the topic was created dripping with partisan hackery I can agree with the sentiment that population centers should be more homogenous in their districting. I have seen some really nice algorithms. It makes for a much prettier state picture.

I am not sure however if it just moved the gerrymandering to a hidden place in the depths of the code.
