How is such misconduct by an official to be addressed? There's a common-law tort of malicious prosecution, but that probably doesn't apply when the government official has no intention to prosecute.

And you think the Republican House and Senate are going to vote to impeach Trump just because he accused Obama of something? Rabies can be cured if you catch it quick enough but I fear that it is already too late for you.

Please let them dream. That's really all they have left in this world. Besides, it keeps them from learning why they got shellacked in the election and therefore will make no changes. They won't change a damn thing for next time except for trying to get out the vote better.
