Obama lawyers form 'worst-case scenario' group to tackle Trump - POLITICO

They started by submitting 50 Freedom of Information Act requests this week that they believe will confirm their suspicions. The plan is to bring what they find to reporters, build it into pressure for congressional oversight with the help of a campaign director they’ll hire, and, as necessary, to file lawsuits.

They’re also hoping to establish themselves as a base for government employees worried about ethics violations — up to and including becoming whistleblowers — and are hoping that their website, https://unitedtoprotectdemocracy.org/,can become a resource.

It would not surprise me, and the beauty of it, from their supposed point of view, is that Islamic terrorists can always be blamed!

My question is: WTH is Trump doing that enrages them to the point that this mess is happening - he did make it known during his campaign exactly what he meant to do, so it wasn't a big secret, and millions voted for him because of what he promised to do to try and change things to benefit the people who only wanted jobs and a fair shake from the government in return for the taxes they pay! Just because his detractors didn't believe he would ever succeed in becoming POTUS, and is actually following through with his promises is unique, I know, but the bull**** we are seeing is unbelievable! :thumbdown:

If Trump and his team wanted to they could do the same thing Obama did. Every time they get a FOIA request from this group, make them litigate each and every one and drag each one out for years. Hell make a special task force just for these yahoo's. Time to start punching the bullies in the nose. Turn up the heat so they really start screaming, and then let them scream their heads of.

I agree. The administration should treat these particular FOIAs just as Hillary and State treated the ones served to her. All the litigation would cost their side a pretty penny, which suits me just fine.

All other FOIAs, not related to Obama or any related organizations, should be treated fairly and timely. You know. How you shout into the forest is how the echo will come back.

The Progressive Left generally considers anyone who disagrees with that world view to be subhuman scum. They consider themselves and their ideas to be the pinnacle of sociological evolution and therefore the ONLY people that are qualified to make decisions which effect society. Some (many) even go so far as to see disagreement with progressive ideals as being a threat to humanity.

Picture it like this, it's like you've got an aunt or an uncle who constantly finds fault with whatever you're doing and constantly tries to "help" you correct that issue PLUS they get pissed off when you don't show proper appreciation for their "help". It doesn't matter to them that you wanted to plant blue petunias next to your yellow mums. In their mind that was just wrong so they went out of their way to buy you pink irises, drove 50 miles to your house and offered to help you put them in just so they could "fix" your garden. That's what Progressiveism is all about. It's all based on finding fault and being pissed that others either don't see the fault or don't care about the fault.

You have to admit the victim mentality is amusing. They are crying that poor ole Trump is getting torn down by EVIL Obama and his "lefty minions" everywhere.

I mean hell, for 8 years we kept hearing about what an incompetent weakling Obama was...and now suddenly he's single handily behind closed doors trying to tear down Trump? These clowns will literally believe anything to avoid the harsh reality that Donald Trump is a corrupt fraud, and that the only reason why they ever even supported him was because he ran as a Republican. If Trump were a Democrat president, they would be demanding his removal from office, and bashing the hell out of Democrats for supporting a corrupt politically inexperienced fraud who flip flops on everything he says every single day.

He should be thanking Obama actually. Without the whole birther nonsense, Trump wouldn't even have had a career in politics, let alone become president.

Very good point, though that crack team of PI's is still stuck in HW, and with that bombshell on Obamas BC being soooo huuuge, Trump really should fly them back to the mainland, share that huuuge news, what a prat.

Make no mistake, I know for a fact that Trump never believed Obama wasn't born in the United States. He just used the whole birther issue as an attempt to pander to right wing voters who despised Obama. And guess what? It worked.
