Conservatives have people who make their living saying things with the explicit intended purpose of triggering outrage in liberals. They say as many outlandish, demeaning, and insulting things as possible to get attention and annoy the liberal base. They sensationalize anecdotal events to create the impression of bigger problems in society and use that impression to harp on liberal's sacred territory.

What is the liberal equivalent?
 
You mean besides every mass media outlet, every news anchor, every reporter, almost all "actors" and "actresses", almost all artists and musicians, all college professors and educational facilitators, most comedians, all of Saturday Night Live......

What do "every mass media outlet, every news anchor, every reporter, almost all "actors" and "actresses", almost all artists and musicians, all college professors and educational facilitators, most comedians, all of Saturday Night Live...... and all Mods, Admins, and DM's at DP.." have in common with Milo and Ann Coulter?

I dont think I would add satirical comedians in there. They are playing characters, not serious like Coulter is.

I think Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid come close. Which is alarming given their powerful positions.

Umm. With that qualification, I would say, most of the MSM, probably all people who identify as Progressive. Certainly you'd have to add most of the Democratic Party top echelon (Pelosi, Former Senate Maj Leader Reed, Schumer, etc.) Then you could add EX President Obama, although his efforts are more clandestine at this point.

Again, with your qualifications in mind, members of the liberal/socialist progressive shadow government that has revealed itself. Of course, they have put up firewalls to protect themselves from prosecution, at least at this point, so I guess they can't be in your face like Coulter or Milo.

Certainly you could plug in the leaders of the multitude of LGBTXYZ groups, but they aren't really organized behind one figure head. I guess never mind on that.

I guess there are so many the left rolls out by the hour to pin any one down.

A thousand against two seem like odds that should not require the all out offensive against Coulter and Milo the left launches all the time, does it?
 
Someone brought up Lena Dunham in another thread. Seems fitting.
 
I would be tempted to say John Oliver and Bill Maher. They may be comedians, but Milo and Coulter aren't exactly credible either.

That's a good question. I am having trouble coming up with an exact correlate. Yeah, there are comedians and actors but that isn't what Ann Coulter does. Sharpton is the closest I can think of but his area of interest is a lot more narrow. Coulter talks on lots of subjects whereas Sharpton focus mostly on one issue: black civil rights.

I'm sure they are out there but just aren't as famous.

There aren't any Liberals who are smart enough to be on the same level as Ann Coulter.

There simply is no equivalent. The conservative brain responds to fear and anger hence they are constantly told to be afraid and angry.

Just so you know, the liberal/democrat brain responds to facts and doesn't need to flail at reality. Its why we can post clear and straightforward posts in response to conservatives.

The main stream media. There are far too many of them to name.
 
That's an easy forum question to answer. Despite the left's hatred of Anne Coulter and their accusations of her being a hater and a provacateur, the reality is that most progressive talking heads are no different than her when it comes to criticizing conservatives and republicans. In some ways they are worse, because they routinely refer to conservatives as racists and bigots, and they do it VERY publicly, to much larger crowds. There are very few labels that are more damaging to a person than to be falsely labeled a racist in front of millions of listeners. We see many, many progressive activists who choose to use that type of language, and many of them can be found in the mainstream media.

However, unlike Ann Coulter, they are rarely(if ever) criticized for their remarks, and the reason is obvious. They aren't really trying to reduce the negativity, they are only concerned with trying to perpetuate the myth that only conservatives are haters, not the wonderful, all caring progressives! But they truly support the hateful rhetoric coming from their own people.
 
Michael Moore and Bill Maher are good places to start.

I can understand why some would think Moore is similar to Milo or Coulter (and I don't agree) but how do you put Maher on the list. He let Milo on his show and he let milo talk. That's literally the opposite of the fear and hate the right promotes.
