Trump is attempting to divert the spotlight from the chaos ensuing in his administration to the leaks exposing that chaos. His supporters who have a shred of decency left are arguing that if intelligence officials have something important to reveal, then they should go through normal channels so that a proper investigation can be conducted. However, everyone should be completely clear that, going by present day political pressure, those with the power to instigate such investigations have made it abundantly clear that no such investigations will take place.

I have to seriously question, based on his quote, that the GOP has any idea what is the nation's business nor any desire to move on it lest it damage the election chances of one of their own.
