An open letter from Kurt Schlichter to Reince Priebus to get cracking:

Getting stuff done is your only job. Your job is not policy and it’s not chatting off the record with the NYT/WaPo hacks who can’t wait to stick a light saber in your back. It’s not picking fights with people you imagine to be potential rivals that end up getting you trending on Twitter in a bad way. Reince, you need less drama and more results. Don’t think we voters haven’t noticed that there are all these leaks about everyone in the building – except about you and your faction. Hmmm. That insider garbage needs to end. It needs to end now.

...You have hundreds of appointments to fill, each one a morale builder for the President’s base, each one a step toward taming the federal government monster. Why aren’t you filling them? If you are, why aren’t we hearing about it? Your role has a huge information operations component. You support the President’s political initiatives by ensuring people like us – you know, conservative voters – know you aren’t simply running around the White House playing political footsies with the other suits. Tell us what’s going on.

It's so cute to see conservatives think that Trump and his admin are there for any other reason than their own personal gain. It's like watching a child believe in Santa Claus.

Gosh, then I guess I'm "cute." Also an optimist. I don't think that any President or all of his/her Admin are there solely for personal gain.

But thanks for such a thoughtful, insightful post.

The problem with this is that with each passing day Priebus is becoming a eunuch in a whore house as Steve Bannon and his flunky Stephen Miller increase and cultivate power with Trump. The radical alt-right pretty much is running things - at least the things that count.

you're quite welcome, I'm always happy to point out cuteness when I see it. I really have no use for optimists though for real situations and much prefer realists to anything else. If I want smoke blown up my ass I'll go to church.

Trump is a disaster and it seems he will actually prove me right much sooner than later.

It's humorous to see representatives of the Trump Cult looking for a scapegoat everywhere else but at the top of the pyramid.
There's only one person responsible for the failures of the executive branch, and it certainly isn't the Chief of Staff.

Why is it ALWAYS someone else's fault?

My personal favorite is it is always someone else's fault when either Trump or someone in his admin fails or screws up. For example, it's not Trumps fault for his comments on women, it's the liberal media for exposing it. It's not Trump's fault for getting into a pissing match on his crowd size, it's the media's fault not recognizing alternative facts. It's not Conway's fault for misreporting a "massacre", it's the media's fault for highlighting it. It's not Flynn's fault for talking to a Russian it is the leaker's fault. It's not Spicer's fault he lies, it's the media's fault for covering it.

And what exactly is Reince Preibus doing? He's certainly staying out of the limelight, but what's he DOING. I'm not saying what he's doing is bad, but That was a salient point regarding the insider/outsider situation. There are no leaks regarding the insiders and we know their hands are dirty.

Have you not listened to Trump's speeches or rallies? A fifth of the speech is talking about how great he is.

Yesterday he was asked about the rise of antisemitism in the US among alt-right groups. His answer? He talked about how many electoral votes he got and that no one thought he would win, etc.

Absolutely a bizarre answer..
