I thought for sure Trump would easily win re-election in 2020, but it looks like he's going to be a one term president after all.

Pence is just another kind of crazy. But he'll make Republicans feel better because he'll be easier for them to manipulate.

At least that is an honest answer and not partisan wishful thinking as many delusionists abound here on DP. I'd be interested in seeing if the Republicans mount a primary challenge in 2020, a very real possibility.

If Trump was still around and wanted to run sure, but I said well over a year ago that Trump would only do one term, so I never figured on that.

It's very possible that Trump won't want any more than one term, no matter what the rabid left does. In fact, if the rabid left were to actually make Trump's life so miserable that he won't want to run again in 2020, that's probably a bad thing for the left. If they overdo it, it could come back to bite them in the ass.

That was my argument, surely given his age and easy boredom he would decide to do something else...the guy does not have that many years left, and he has the coolest toys, and he has a hot wife.....you know?
