List of Trump's executive orders | Fox News

Donald Trump ran his campaign on promoting economic growth, creating jobs, and providing improvements in national security. This thread lists the Executive Orders that do exactly that. Makes one wonder what the problem the left has with pro growth, pro job creation, pro national security. Could it be that the left truly prefers dependence to independence?

Donald Trump has been in office three weeks and the best the left can come up with is vitriol over things like the 90 TEMPORARY BAN on Immigration from 7 countries and protests all over the country about repealing and replacing Obamacare. this country needs jobs, this country needs economic growth, this country needs to put America first again and Trump is doing just that

Most of his executive orders don't need to be executive orders. He could simply pick up the phone and explain to people what he wants. He does the executive orders to proclaim publicly that he is addressing his campaign promises. It certainly makes sense for him to do that. But don't take the executive orders too seriously. Many of his campaign promises require the involvement of the swamp on capitol hill.

Even Canadians seem to prefer Trump's message on economic growth and national security over Trudeau's.
And for some of us those two things seem like things Presidents should rank high. Those other things we want out of government we can get through state and local government.
Canadians deeply dislike Trump, but prefer him to Trudeau on economy, security: poll | National Post

Speaking of Canada, they aren't accepting young single immigrants from the countries with high levels of terrorism. They are accepting mature immigrants and couples. Makes a great amount of sense to me. We should follow their lead.

It's about power. If Trump is successful in getting economic growth back where it should be he will be a hero. The democrats must stop him or they are dead. Trump has a checklist of the gripes of the average American:

Low economic growth leading to a moribund economy
Illegal immigration
Unchecked legal immigration, preying on citizen's jobs
Unbalanced export/import accounts
Being faced with the financial burden of Obamacare
Deterioration of our infrastructure
A feeling of vulnerability to external forces of disruption or war

The democrats have become the party of transgender bathrooms and global change.

The Democrats can read the tea leaves - they are going to we wandering the political desert for several years to come. Which is part of the game. The republicans have been there, and so have the democrats. The nation is still standing.

Trump has his problems, but people believe he means what he says, and is working for the best interests of the county.

As far as I know, EVERY country in the world seems to have some sensible immigration system except the US. Germany was taking in a lot but they are concerned about diminishing population but even with that they have a lower immigration rate than the US. I am not qualified to immigrate to many countries due to lack of wealth or knowledge/skills that countries want. Yet somehow people want to make the US a pariah for not having more open borders. Weird.

He's not the Hildabeast. That's what the problem is. If Trump adds millions of jobs, makes us secure, gains allies in the world, and makes it rain golden coins the liberals will still hate him.

Could it be that the left truly prefers dependence to independence?
Ya think? Free school. Free health care. Free welfare. Free..free..free. It's practically...here...take most of my money (and ALL of my neighbor's money) then YOU be my mommy and take care of me.

It's still WAY too early to make any determination on whether he's going to be a good or bad president. It's too early to determine if he'll be effective. Anything he does will be defied by liberals in congress. Anything he does that affects ALL people will be condemned by liberals who prefer to write laws that cherry-pick among demographics (remember Obama's 'tanning-bed tax?').

Repeal will cost jobs. Of course that's not why people are starting to show up en masse to GOP town halls to protest it; it'll also cost lives and livelihoods.

Up to 3 million jobs in the health sector and other areas would be lost if certain key provisions of the Affordable Care Act are repealed by Congress, a new report said Thursday.

At the same time, ending those provisions could lead to a whopping $1.5 trillion reduction in gross state product from 2019 through 2023, according to the study.

"Repealing key parts of the ACA could trigger massive job losses and a slump in consumer and business spending that would affect all sectors of state economies," said Leighton Ku, director of the Center for Health Policy Research and professor at the Milken Institute School of Public Health at George Washington University.

That is your opinion and is just that. Getting those 33 million uninsured Americans insured through subsidies will increase jobs not reduce them. The rent a mob is showing up as usual and like the March on DC during the Inauguration most don't have a clue what their options are or what they are protesting. Scare tactics are all you people are good at.

...yes, expanding the ACA's subsidies would probably create even more jobs. I agree!

I'm talking about repealing the existing subsidies (as the repeal bill the GOP served up for Obama's veto last year did). If we're done pretending the GOP is actually going to try and repeal the ACA, then that's a very different conversation.

So you think that a liberal left wing professor from Geo Washington Univ, would conduct a credible study? Yea, right. Did you read the study? Did you critically review this study? Does it consider what replaced Obamacare? No wait, it hasn't been replaced yet. So how can they predict massive job losses, slump in consumer and business spending when they don't know what will replace Obamacare? They can't, it is all PURE SPECULATION! And no one is going to eliminate Obamacare without something to replace it. Not going to happen. But thanks for sharing.

and you are going to pretend that ACA works, lowers costs and improves the quality of the healthcare services. Giving the taxpayers a tax subsidy to buy their own insurance is the answer, not being forced on some govt. program that does nothing to improve quality. You have so little faith in the American consumer and ignore the results of liberalism in actually meeting the needs of the American consumer. You see, personal responsibility doesn't exist in your world as you expect the Federal Govt. to provide what you personally want and dictate coverage for you

What replaced Obamacare?

If Obamacare so great why does it need to be replaced and isn't it still in effect now? What are you complaining about? It has been 3 weeks. it took Obama 2 years to come up with this abomination. The GOP does have a plan on the table, now how about telling your liberal Congressional leaders to do their job and hold hearings vs. stonewall Cabinet member nominations

A tax subsidy to buy insurance? Interesting! Perhaps we could call it the Affordable Care Act.

No, you don't know what a tax subsidy really is, it is allowing you to pay less taxes and take that money and buy your own insurance not forced into a govt. exchange. Your ignorance on the topic is staggering and shows how easy it is for the left to influence good people like you

Yea, and perhaps it'll actually be affordable.
