There is a movement growing and after years of obstructionism, dog whistling, lying, fear mongering, hypocrisy, and outright cowardice from GOP lawmakers it is time to take a stand. It isn't violence in the streets that will win the day but the ballot box and organized, concerted engagement. Remember to use the media, do not be used by it. Most important, a government that fears its populace works best so terrify the hell out of Trump and his literal cronies by keeping the pressure at 100.

To the Trump supporters, nothing but love and respect to my fellow countrymen, but I am not on board with the direction you want to take this country or the man you have chosen to helm the ship and I intend to fight it tooth and nail through every lawful means at my disposal.

After watching the same people who lambasted Benghazi turn a blind eye to Yemen, who criticized every penny spent on security for Obama but not even blush at the millions being spent on Melania, who complained about the "Swamp" in D.C. but pretend it is okay that the new cabinet is worth more than 100 million Americans and who have a long list of ethics complaints, who decried government spending as bankrupting the nation but now support trillion dollar infrastructure and a useless $21 billion wall, who screamed how crooked Hillary was but defend Conway's advertising Ivanka and Flynn's treason with Russia, and who applaud nationalism while trying to repeal ACA with no replacement when a third of the country doesn't know it is the same as Obamacare and it will leave up to 20 million Americans without access healthcare....it is clear they are putting partisanship first, not country first.

I gave Trump a chance and it only took three weeks. I hope the new political platform is "Resist Trump". I think the best message to resist him is a "One Nation" message because what makes America great isn't who we force and keep out from baseless fear. And it isn't domineering and brow beating others into submission. It is the values we have as a people to stand up against the wrong in the world and to be there for one another.

You do realize that the 20 million number is a lie, right?

Resist sounds much better than becoming the new party of no - kind of like an evolved position sounds much better than a flip-flop. ;)

To promise to resist is a fine plan worthy of the value of liberal thought. ;)

In other words, your side only takes the "high ground" when they are in power. When they lose they want to get down and dirty just as much as those they accused of taking the low ground before.

Dear Americans,

It does not matter if the number of our fellow countrymen who are left without access to healthcare under the Trump Agenda is 1 million or 20 million. What matters is that in this country, we take care of our own! The healthy lift up the sick!

It is not party first. It is not partisanship first. It is ONE NATION. It is putting the country first. Trump had the opportunity to rise above the short comings of those who preceded him. He failed. His followers had the opportunity to hold him accountable as they criticized others for not holding their leaders accountable. They failed. The failures cannot see beyond their partisan vanity, so those who are willing to resist the hypocrisy must do so for the good of our democracy.

With love and respect,

Your Fellow Countryman

And of course what the republican congress did with Obama was completely different. "we will oppose everything he does no matter what" guess who said that?

Elections have concequences. The Republicans were elected to keep Obama under control.

Unless they show up with something other than the Liberal agenda, they're pissing in the wind.

I think the anti-hate agenda will suffice.

These platitudes run hollow considering that it's coming from the Trump haters. "Hold Trump Accountable" /=Make up bull**** to scream and whine about. That the Trump haters don't seem to get this is hilarious.

Dear Americans,

The leaders you help elect represent you. When they blatantly lie and you do not call them out on it then it is your lie as well. You become a dishonest, liar when you cannot hold the people you have chosen to represent the country's interests accountable to their own words. When you blame others for your own inability to stand up to the authority you bestowed then you practice cowardice. When you cannot see beyond party and partisanship, beyond the self serving media and corrupt politicians of the other side, to make a sound argument against deceit from your chosen leader, you lack character and reason. These are not the virtues I believe my countrymen will continue to practice. I have faith in the heart of Americans not to put their pride before what is good and honorable.

With love and respect,

Your Fellow Countryman

I have to wonder about this. Didn't we just finish 8 years where the Democrats complained bitterly about all the resistance the GOP offered to include being called the party of no. I suppose turnabout or payback is fair play. What I call it is polarization. Partisanship to the max. Whether that be the Republicans for eight years or the Democrats today.

It seems neither political party will take it issue by issue, policy by policy, program by program and ask the question, is this good for the country and vote or act accordingly. What I am sick and tired of is Republicans being against anything Democrat because it was originated by the Democrats. The reverse is also true, I am sick and tired of Democrats now being against anything Republican because it was originated by Republicans or in this case Trump.

This country is deeply divided because both parties put their political party over country. It has become the good of the party, not the country. Loyalty to party, not the nation. This my way or the highway has to cease. Either our two major parties have start working together for the good of this country, both need to learn how to compromise, a bit of pragmatism and stop putting their political party above everything else. If not, it won't be long before we cease to exist.

Abe Lincoln once stated, a house divided can not stand. Polarization in Washington is eating away at our foundation as a country. Soon the whole thing will come tumbling down.

It is sad how our media is used by the rich and powerful along with the 2 parties to keep us from uniting and getting anything done that "We the People" or should I say "We the Minions" want done.

Nothing new. The small percentage of rich and powerful have kept "We the Minions" from ever achieving our goals for thousands of years. Hopefully one day thousands of years from now "We the People" will figure it out and truly rule ourselves.

Is that what you call it? :lamo

Spoken like a true Ku Klux Klanner! Are you part of that in Louisiana? Do you call yourselves the Cajun Klan?

That's the main reason Trump was elected. Even though he is rich, he is different than the politicians who have been running things for far too long.

Yeah, you're going to win votes like that. :lamo

The Cajun Klan? If you only knew...LMAO!

Lead by example. No one is going to take what sounds like yet another anti-republican movement serious until it has a history of consistent opposition to all parties, all politicians, all corruption and waste. If you want to be the new tea party, then start by taking down your own leaders, not just the oppositions.
