Re: Defending President Trump Is Becoming More Difficult Read more at: http://www.na

trump's latest fascist technique is to host a bi-partisan group of lawmakers and trash a Democratic Senator in front of them and the cameras, followed by uneasy silence since he knows no one will respond.

As trump did today with his latest lie about voter fraud with MA bus loads going to NH .

That's hilarious! Do you have a link to video?

I just cringed when he went down that path. Everyone here in NH is laughing at him now. I loved Kelly Ayotte, as you know, but she lost because of the flip flopping on Trump, and because Maggie Hassan was a very strong candidate. Hell, the only Republican who won the state was our new governor Chris Sununu and I think he won only because his opponent was just so bad.

You are falling into the trump trap. He is an excellent magician. He gets you responding to the stupid minutia in one hand while he is doing something different with his other hand. Please continue paying attention to the hand he wants you to see.

National Review is the bitter enemy of Donald Trump and did all they could to destroy his bid for the Presidency,
even dedicated one whole issue to the political destruction of The Donald. So the above is to be expected from
National Review --- they detest any type of Populism and Twitter is the epitome of Populism.

Sayeth National Review:

National Review is one of the intellectual-academic-talking-head-arms of the Conservative Movement.

They prefer TALK to ACTION. They all make their living by some form of TALKING. Populism scares
them.

Don't get me wrong. I do not dislike National Review, I merely observe their position on The Donald
and on Populism and Populism's Twitter.

Twitter is also the tool of 12 year old girls, and the Cheeto in Chief

Re: Defending President Trump Is Becoming More Difficult Read more at: http://www.na

The National Review? Really? If you want to make a coherent point then you need to find a different source than that, otherwise you are just being partisan.

The National Review was founded by William F. Buckley, Jr. and is probably the most thoughtful, intelligent conservative publication out there.

Because populists are always so successful? When has even one populist leader actually been successful? I can't think of one. They are generally LIARS AND CROOKS.

Meh, it WAS thoughtful and intelligent. Now it employs Jonah Goldberg.

Donald Trump: President?s Petty Personal Attacks Violate the Dignity of His Office | National Review

Well written and nails it. Why so many other Trump supporters can't admit this is hard to fathom. Lose the Twitter already.

Did the writer ever ponder the idea that Trump's actions and policies might be just as impulsive as his needy-ego fed twitter tantrums? She seemed concerned with optics. That's the least of my worries.

In an age of spastic populism, thought is just mocked. Buckley has given way to Milo the Troll.

No, it's not that kind of thing. It's still a topic of discussion, though.

The thing is those who supported Trump still do, those who supported Clinton and were anti-Trump still are. That hasn't changed one iota. So I think you can toss those folks out of the equation and look at independents and independents only. On election day 40% of the non-affiliated had a favorable view of Trump, 57% an unfavorable view. When Trump took the oath of the presidency, among independents 42% viewed him favorably, 53% unfavorably. Today 44% of independents now view Trump favorably, 49% unfavorably.

Not much of a change, although I suppose one could say independents today view Trump a bit more favorably than back on November 8th. But keep in mind all these polls have an margin of error of plus or minus three points, so basically there has been no change among the non-affiliated either. The bottom line is those who liked him, still do. Those who hated him, still do regardless of political affiliation. But Trump has been president for three weeks now, that is not enough time for anyone to really change his view.

Now if Trump could only lose twitter, he might be able to improve some. Then again, maybe not.

The only difference is the left is being very vocal. They have turned into a pack of wild rabid dogs.

Miscellaneous Points:

♦ Your comment is "out of the blue" and does not rationally correspond
to any positions I have taken or to my post you quoted.

♦ Allow me to also post "out of the blue", here tis:

"Such is the nature of evil. Out there in the vast ignorance of the world it festers and
spreads. A shadow that grows in the dark. A sleepless malice as black as the oncoming
wall of night. So it ever was. So will it always be. In time all foul things come forth."
__The Elven King of Mirkwood, Thranduil

Back to Populism:

♦ I encourage you to rage against Populism to your heart's content, starting with
Orange Julius aka The Mighty Donald Who Occupyeth The Oval and who is giving
some of his political and ideological enemies high blood pressure which may lead
to heart disease (worry and stress.)

The left has always been more vocal. They have always used protests and demonstration. They always give the impression that their numbers are triple or quadruple their actual numbers because of the noise and stink they raise. I also believe there is such a thing as the silent majority. The more calm and rational among us. But being silent doesn't get the media coverage or make your numbers seem like they are a lot more than they really are.

Yah. Wildness makes the Independents and Moderates politically
nervous.

Wonder what the midterm's will bring?

More lost seats for the political Left?

Since Chris Matthews first got his "tingle" or was it a "shiver"
when Obama became POTUS, the Democratic Party has lost
1500 legislative seats nationwide.

2018 will be here in a jiffy. That'll be an interesting midterm
election and an indication if America will nudge back to the
Left . . . .

. . . . or move further toward Orange Julius aka The Mighty
Donald Occupier Of The Oval And Commander In Chief.

As Trump has NPD, the odds of him changing his behavior is slim, the constant need to feed his ego will be his undoing.
