All in the name of a problem that's too rare even to matter.

Efforts are underway in places such as Arkansas, Iowa, Maine, Nebraska and Indiana to adopt or tighten requirements that voters show identification at the polls. There is a move in Iowa and New Hampshire to eliminate Election Day registration. New Hampshire may also make it difficult for college students to vote. And Texas could shorten the early voting period by several days.

Supporters say the measures are necessary to combat voter fraud and increase public confidence in elections. But research has shown that in-person fraud at the polls is extremely rare, and critics of these restrictions warn that they will hurt mostly poor people, minorities and students — all of whom tend to vote Democratic — as well as the elderly.

I'm in favor of shutting down same day voter registration. That has always seemed ridiculous.

I don't like preventing college students from voting in the district they reside in. And I'm also against limiting early voting. Early voting is particularly essential for the working people.

The American people have voted in Republicans. Overwhelmingly. At the national, state and local levels. Republicans that believe in the basic and rational fact that anybody voting should have a valid personal identification to show at the polls if they want to vote. Simple. They, We, do not like the idea of potential fraud in voting, we do not agree that it is just too much of a burden for anyone to get proper identification [ besides which, it is hard to live in America, if you are legal or not, without a valid ID], and...

If it affects one side more than the other, that side should get up off their backsides and help those of their own if they feel so deeply about it.

It is certainly not our problem to solve your problems.

No, it is apparent that your party wants to go the way of the Dodo. I think we need a true, yet it has to be at least semi honest, opposition party to keep my party in line. The American eagle needs that balance, left and right wing strong and healthy, to fly straight...

But you folks have completely self destructed, hoist on your own petard, you went overboard and far too fast, you corrupted your own political system while trying to corrupt the entire system... with the MSM, Hollywood and "academia", all your now long term tarnished accomplices, being accessories to those crimes.

The American people finally caught on, got a whiff of the real deal with the O bomb as he blew up the leftist joint and now you are sitting in the smoking ruins of a once powerful party.

Question is, does your side have the sense to understand the Americans that would be on your team enough to gain them back? Time will tell. But your folks, MSM, Hollywood and academia have gone so bat **** crazy, lied to Americans in the most fundamental ways that it truly may go the way of the Dodo...or the Whigs.

The brand is so tarnished and its truly hard to reestablish trust when its been lost so completely.

There is absolutely no way to prove that in-person fraud at the polls is rare. There is only one reason to oppose voter I.D.s and that is because the Left knows they are benefiting from the fraud we all know is going on.

When a person votes I believe their name and address will be recorded. It would be a fairly simple but time consuming cross check to see who has voted multiple times. The main problem would be if the voted using different addresses

I am sure that is how you MUST see it.

I will defer my judgments on all these very successful and accomplished folks and what they accomplish for us, the American people, or not. Folks who actually have a grasp on the real world, have worked in the real world, have dealt with these actors on the national and international stages previously and been good at what they do, well, we on this side applaud someone good at what they do. If they are true patriots, and we will see by their actions, they will stand us in good stead.

He is also draining the MSM swamp, calling them on their biased and fake reporting. Add the regulars that in the past administrations are normally hired for positions that will not, under this administration, get that invite... some, to my great happiness, dis-invited themselves by distancing themselves from Trump when they thought he had no chance of getting elected. So, sweet karma comes into play and good riddance, they are the ones that have us in this worldwide screwed up predicament in the first place.

And as to the corporate financiers, though they would have needed Omar the tent maker to mightily enlarge those cloth enclosures, Her thunder thighness was far more deeply buried in the hip pockets of those on Wall Street.

Surely you knew this.

People are voting who shouldn't. That's a fact. People are voting more than once. That's a fact. There are requirements in the US to vote. That's a fact.

Too much to ask for examples? If I were an illegal a polling booth is the last place I'd be. Ah well, the average Muslim here makes more money and is better educated than out high school white supremacists. They should be grateful for them, increasing the average IQ of the country

I agree with you. However, the THIRTY ONE) count 'em! double-votes found in metro Detroit involved a mail-in ballot coupled with an in-person vote. Easily corrected in this digital age - sync the lists.
