The contracts that he'll control as president make the Presidential salary look like peanuts.

George Washington refused a salary as General of the Army in the Revolutionary War but he made plenty off of his expense account.

Anyone who thinks that Trump will lose any money as president is out of touch with reality.

Just sayin'.

...And yet that's better than expense account PLUS $400,000 per year. ($1.6 million savings over four years, and a good example for our other elected officials.)

Couldn't you find something more relevant to complain about, rather than to sneer at something that is a positive gesture? :coffeepap:

I don't think anyone thinks he is going to lose money. Hell, he signed an EO to help push the Dakota Access pipeline through. He is invested in the companies working that project. Probabably small potatoes to Trump but it will probably return him at least that $400,000.

I'm not saying that is why he signed it.

Smells like jealousy in here.

The only person who's complaining is you!

My guess is that Trump won't leave the White House any poorer than he was when he moved into it.

Come back and tell us when you have something concrete. CT forum is that-a-way ==>>

Whenever somebody running for office makes the claim that they will not accept a salary, or that they will work for minimum wage, it is a safe bet that they have enough money to where it doesn't affect them. It gets twisted into a symbol of patriotism by some, but it's really just effective PR.

It is my undeerstanding that Trump sold all of his individual stocks. I guess that would make your post filled with either alt facts or outright lies, you pick.

Does yer understanding have a link?

Or is yer post filled with alt-fact-free lies ?

Come back when you choose to address the thread content of any trump thread .

No, just outdated info. The last I looked into it, when he discussed it during the campaign, he was invested. I just looked and you are right. He sold all holdings in it last month. I stand corrected. Thanks.

No problem.

I did.

The claim is that Trump is going to line his pockets while in office.
The OP offers no evidence, citations, or anything other than his opinion. I simply asked that he back this up with something, anything.

Some people on this planet will always be out of touch with reality.

"Better days are coming." ~ But not for today's out of touch, running out of time,GOP.

No. It doesn't. Impossible to prove a negative.

How does one prove something didn't happen? Think about it.
The same thing applies to you.

If you ever have any proof that Trump didn't make a penny off of his time in office I'd like to see it.

Looks to me like 400,000 less federal expense thus a reduction in the potential deficit

I guess when your own liberal party is eyeballs-deep in corruption, it's easy to assume as much.

Awesome comeback! Next time why don't you just say, "I know you are but what am I"?

<slowly clapping>

I read a report maybe two months ago that he sold every last share of stock to put money into his campaign, so he is no longer financially connected to the pipeline, it said this spacifically.

EDIT: So I see you figured this out already....super

Not only that.

If Trump is really worth the $10 Billion he claims ( *coughbull****cough* ) and he was making a pathetic return of only 1% after taxes...that equals $100,000,000 per year. That equals over $270,000 per day!?!

Yeah, giving up $400 grand a year (in taxpayer money) is almost nothing to a guy worth $10 billion. Frankly, it would be somewhat pathetic if he actually kept it given his supposed wealth.
