Democrats - Quit Whining. Trump's victory IS you fault. Own up to it.

Should have read *pure* democracy. We're a democratic republic. Meaning that your vote counts just as much as everyone else in your state.
Um...er....conflating our nation with a single state in a debate on the EC versus democracy and NEVER getting to any point argued.
I stand by my original statement.
Who cares? It wasn't valid or to the point.

And yer still not 'splainin how my comment was "racist". You don't get to just blurt out an accusation like that and walk away as if nuthin happened....if you have any self responsibility.

Allow me to number my points in a list for your benefit:

1. State electors are democratically elected - a democratic process
2. Those electors then vote to select a president - a republican process since it is the electors representing the whole of a state
3. This is why the US is referred to as a "democratic republic"
4. The United States is not a pure democracy
5. If the US was a pure democracy, the president could disregard the opinion of a majority of states
6. You seem to only label your vote as "counted" if your state's elector agrees with you
7. That is not the case as your vote is counted and considered before the choice of elector is made
8. While your vote does count, I agree it is rendered insignificant if your candidate doesn't win
9. That concept that makes your vote insignificant in this situation is not unique
10. In nearly all democratic processes, votes that aren't on the winning side are rendered similarly insignificant
12. Every vote cast for the winner that is beyond the number necessary to win is equally as insignificant
13. If you derive the entirety of the value of your vote by the outcome of the election, you would be dumb
14. The value of a vote is not in the outcome it creates or fails to create, but in the expression of your opinion
15. You would be dumb because you would be arbitrarily devaluing your own vote depending on an outcome you likely have very little control over

---- Now to address the comment regarding racism:

1. You made a stereotypical assumption about the beliefs of a group of people
2. The primary determining factors you listed were race, gender, and geographical location
3. One of the factors was race, which by definition makes your comment a racist one
4. I claimed the comment is racist
5. I did not claim that you are a racist

Good enough?

One of the factors was race, which by definition makes your comment a racist one
4. I claimed the comment is racist
Well, there you are, totally confused about the difference between discussing race and making a racist statement. If your grasp of the English language does not allow you to have a clear understanding of that difference at your age, then it is totally pointless for this conversation to go any further.

1. You were the one who arbitrarily brought race into the discussion
2. I'd be happy to have a real discussion about race, though...
3. Race has no relevance to whether or not your vote counts and...
4. Young white men living in the Midwestern US had absolutely no influence on the fact that we used the Electoral College for the presidential elections that took place a few months ago

--- Other points ---
1. I notice you dropped the dialect
2. I spent time detailing all my points
3. You address only a single of my points
4. This leads me to believe that you cannot dispute my other points
