Would Republicans have Whined if Obama Did This?

In other words, you would just rather let the higher paying jobs go and force Walmart to pay $15 per hour.

Apparently you are unfamiliar how tariffs work. We put tariffs on imports which forces the crap bought at Walmart as well as cars to be more expensive. As a result Americans can't afford to buy as much stuff reducing economic activity. The countries of these companies retaliate and introduce tariffs of their own further reducing economic activity. All jobs are reduced. That is why we have trade deals. This game of chicken trump is playing will only work so long. Be interesting when a company tells him to go scratch what actually happens. Renegotiating trade deals is fine as markets should be open for our goods, especially our agricultural products where we excel. I wasn't aware our president was in the business of telling our corporations how to conduct business. I thought the cons wanted government less involved in the peoples affairs except for their bedroom of course.

You've never smeared John McCain? Be honest!

Still can't deal with President Trump smearing Prisoners of War, eh apdst?

And since when does a commoner like me equate to our dear leader ?

Obama hailed Bergdahl as a hero.

Do all trumposters agree with trump smearing Prisoners of War ?

I'm more concerned with him smearing our intelligence agency to be honest.

I've also been asking that question and been getting nothing but trumpistan deflections.

Which is exactly what you'll get tomorrow from trump after he's given a little "intelligence" .

How would you feel if Obama smeared Prisoners of War and Intelligence officials, apdst, as President trump did?

Try answering just one question .

News flash. Trump is not a Republican. That's why the establishment tried every trick in the book to get rid of him.

I read an article the other day while digging into the Chevy Cruz thing. Turns out Mexico builds the Cruz for Global markets; Ohio builds them for US use. The piece explained why.

Mexico has free trade agreements with almost everyone. That plus the average labor rate of about $10 an hour and business friendly regulations is attracting global automakers from Audi to VW to build mega plants in their country. Add to that the fact that Mexico has no unions or other "obstacles," unlike US, Korea, Germany, Japan, etc., and we can see why automakers love Mexico.

By targeting Mexico, Trump may be helping labor the world around without even knowing it. I'm hoping at least.

The following is a response I gave to Mod Right. I should have multi-quoted it.

I thought we were each responsible for our own actions? As a Libertarian I would think that would be doubly true. I won't be changing my life either. Just some of my investing. I see he went after Toyota today and hired a lawyer that represented Goldman Sachs and the rest of Wall Street to police them. I would be very worried about history repeating itself.

I dont blame Trump for tweeting. I blame the people reacting like his tweets have power. Sure businesses need to think of their shareholder value, but Toyota responded the right way. They didnt cower in fear. They stated the facts and explained how Trump was wrong, and what they were doing was right. I wish the cowards in Congress would do the same. Check his power.
