The vote was 306 - 232. That is indeed not close.
Until you look at the numbers that combined to make 306 and 232 .

President Obama gave an hour long interview to former aide David Axelrod in which he stated that he would have defeated Trump had he been allowed to run for a third term. Right on schedule, the nations most famous tween responded saying NO WAY.

First of all, if anyone needs confirmation that Trump lives in his own delusional world occupying an alternate reality than almost every other American- this should it as he lost by 2.8 million votes to one of the worst candidates the Democratic Party has ever put forth in thirty years. And owes his election to a mechanism left over for the 1700's that barely allowed him to do that. Put him up against the political juggernaut that was Obama - and he gets his ass kicked in epic fashion. Second, - wait a minute.... there is no second. Trump is so brain damaged by his own crap that he truly believes there is always a pony underneath the large pile of it.
This is just amazing.
Not surprising - but still amazing.
The numbers that makeup 306 - 232 are 3,0,6,2,3,2 And 2,7,0 makes a winner.
Wait. You find nothing untoward about Obama saying, "Ida beat him," but call Trump brain damaged? I think there's plenty of brain damage to go around on this particular subject, don't you?
Trump should get the law changed and we can find out about this in 2020.
I think he's going to be extremely easy to goad.

You need a constitutional amendment to win your arugmentOh you mean the vote of a few hundred people as opposed to nearly 130 million Americans.
You need a constitutional amendment to win your arugment
You need an amendment if you want win your arugment, .....take it from#35No - I need a constitutional amendment to change the constitution. And that is NOT what is being talked about.
The topic here is NOT if Clinton was a bad candidate. Thats not it.
The topic here is NOT if Trump won in the Electoral College. Thats not it either.
And the topic is not if the EC should be changed. Neither is that it.
The topic is the claim from Obama that he could beat Trump and the reply from Trump that he would beat Obama. The OP makes that very clear.
Pfffft. I coulda beaten Obama and Trump at the same time. No biggie. I coulda done it from space, in the space station, while eating Snickers bars for a commercial, riding a stationary bike, and dictating the text of a blockbuster mystery novel.
Trump said the election was being rigged. I'd call that a delusion, wouldn't you?
iLOL :lamoYou do realize we ARE NOT talking about the election match up that just happened .... don't you?

Hillary Clinton was the most flawed politician of our era.

Doh!
You do realize that the impetus behind Obama's comment is that Trump won, right? As I said; Get over it.
In some democrat strongholds of Detroit more votes for Hillary were counted than there were voters
That sounds to me like an attempt to rig the election
Did Brightfart tell you that? Fake news.
The statement by both Obama and Trump assumes the reality that such an election is possible. You are not accepting the premise that both men accept.
