What goes around comes around. Unlike other presidential campaigns where both sides can lick their wounds when the dust settles and get down to business, this one may never end. It will be the bitter price Trump will pay for many of the tactics his campaign chose to employ. You don't spit in the face of your opponent time and time again and then expect things to be hunky dory when the election is over. As I predicted before, his campaign has provided a blue print of some truly nasty ways to undermine supporter confidence, destroy approval, and caste someone in the worst possible light. Facts are no longer important. I imagine if the GOP had been the party of No during Obama's term then Democrats now have the incentive to be the party of Hell No. But we can wait and see if Trump will face an insurgency to mirror what his campaign did to Clinton.

Clinton allies plot anti-Trump movement - POLITICO

Clinton allies like David Brock have been actively recruiting Democratic donors to fund an anti-Trump movement modeled on the armada of organizations that sued, flacked, opposition-researched and insulted Clinton into a 55 percent disapproval rating. Trump is already there, but Brock and other Democratic operatives are contemplating a Freedom of Information Act barrage against the president-elect comparable to the one undertaken against Clinton by the conservative group Judicial Watch. Other left-leaning groups, including the Center for American Progress, are looking into ways of holding Trump accountable for his job-creating campaign promises — possibly by disseminating reports on the president’s record directly to voters and media into swing states like Pennsylvania, Wisconsin and Michigan that swung surprisingly to Trump.

Does anyone actually think Brock wouldn't be doing that no matter who would have beaten Hillary, or how? He's been a Clintonista rabid attack dog for a long time.

All I can suggest in response is go for it.

Voters saw through the tactics deployed by Hillary and her MSM partners and will see through whatever efforts that continue.

As was said before, "It's the economy, stupid", and people are about to see who fits the "stupid' category.

He deserves it. I don't like being told I should register, and watching him work his supporters up into a hateful frenzy.

I think the real question is whether the nation deserves it.

We deserve better than Trump.

That may be so, but the fact is that Trump will be our next President. For the nation's sake, I hope his is a successful Presidency.

And that is what I said in 2008 too.

And when the economy goes down the tubes, what will you say then? There is no way we won't be in a recession by the middle of Trump's only term. Trump's train wreck will rival 2008.

I'm not sure what you are saying.

Democrats have been saying for decades that Republicans are conspiratorially racist, sexist, heartless, homophobes who are unfeeling haters of all that is good and plan to starve our children, kill the elderly and send our offspring into war to die to improve their balance sheets.

What did Trump say about anyone that is worse than these charges routinely leveled at every Republican who runs for any office anywhere any time?

I think I will put this prediction, along with all the others suggesting President Elect Trump wouldn't be victorious, down the same chute. It can join the other chunks floating on the surface where such predictions reside.

I think I will put this prediction.

Convincing people to vote for you, and effectively governing are two different things.

Given how he conducted his campaign despite winning, his failed business ventures and bankruptcies and his erratic behavior, come on now, it's not too much of a stretch to imagine his administration will be similar.

You should have simply stopped there. No reason to mix in hyperbole with the truth.

And that is what I said in 2008 too.

It seems to naive to look at his cabinet, experience level, temperament, language on international relations, and even his call to Taiwan and not have some concern. I can't sit here believe he is going to be a highly successful leader without ignoring the reality of his campaign and everything following. I feel concerned. I have never felt like this about a president getting elected before.

I represent this nation. We deserve better than Trump.
Funny thing about that. No...the nation doesnt deserve better than Trump. The nation selected him. And those that couldnt be bothered to vote...well...they 'represent' themselves well.

People want to act like...golly...we dont know how Trump won! Gosh....how did he get there? In case you and others missed it...

The GOP blows.
The rat party blows.
Hillary Clinton is a total piece of ****.
The 16 other GOP candidates were too busy trying to pander to special interest groups to figure out what the people wanted.
The Rat party ****ed over Bernie Sanders and his supporters.
Congress has done nothing but fail for decades.
Hollywood underestimated just how little the citizens of this country care about them or worse...despise them.
The media cant figure out why the people in this country dont trust them.
The vast majority of the states in this country are smart enough to see illegal immigration (ILLEGAL immigration) as a problem.
The vast majority of the states in this country are smart enough to recognize Islamic Fundamentalists represent a threat to the world and to this country.
FOr all the bleating about how swell the economy is, we have more people than ever that have dropped out of the workforce and are simply no longer counted as unemployed.
Massive numbers of college students face a mountain of student loan debt and possess worthless degress with no prospect of paying off their loans or finding work in their degree field.
Massive numbers of people are un-underemployed.

Thats a start.

Trump is many things. Yes...he is a douchebag. He is also NOT a typical rat or GOP politician. He is a businessman and has the potential to work to reinvigorate the economy. Unfortunately for the country...he will spend 4 years battling a concerted effort by the rats, the GOP, the media, and others that would rather see the country die as long as it meant Trump will not be successful.

I imagine that is true in the minds of those who bought the lies, deceit, and fabrication generated by Hillary and her MSM partners. It was expected after all.

However, along with the rest, I am joining the business world in anticipation of great times ahead.

Even after winning his campaign has conducted itself horribly. Conway has been on air calling people snowflakes and "a pack of losers." Then every now and then, they put Trump out asking for unity, etc. It looks and sounds really insincere. It's typical Trump behavior like "nobody has more respect for women than me." Yeah, right... haha

They can't get the messaging right, and their behavior only divides people further. They didn't even win the popular vote, so they should be seeking support of people instead of getting defensive and hurling insults.

You buy far Right wing propaganda dude, you're in no position to talk about lies, deceit and fabrication.

There is a president elect, who peddles in Conspiracy Theory for which he either does not bother backing it up or has tweeted InfoWars links.

Nope, sorry buddy, a Trumpette doesn't get to complain about lies, deceit or fabrication.

That depends much more on what congress critters do than on what Trump says he wants. But I am with you on the results, not the plans, are what matters.

I dont know how people that see this guy get elected and reelected...and many more that are just as stupid...can claim the country doesnt 'deserve' Trump.

Actually, dude, you're accusing the wrong guy. Go find some other windmill to obsess over, since obsession seems to be a foundational trait.

Incumbents, regardless of record or sanity, are often kept for quite some time. ;)

AFAIK, he ran unopposed (by other demorats) in the primary.

Podesta On David Brock: Crazy Is As Crazy Does | The Daily Caller

Brock is a loser. Even the Clinton camp thinks he is "bat**** crazy". He has no purpose in life now that Clinton has lost the election so this is his pathetic attempt to stay valid. It won't work.

Apparently everyone is making nice nice now.
About getting together at the end of the month or beginning of March, Steve and I are definitely available. Susan will be in DC from February 24 to March 2. However, she says if those dates are most convenient, we should go ahead without her.
