Gregg Jarrett of Fox News thinks Clinton has blown it:

While Clinton may be a smart person, it makes no sense whatsoever for her to risk criminal indictment by alienating the one person who can best insulate her from the legal consequences of her own extremely careless, if not intentional, conduct. And for what? A recount that is destined to fail?

By contesting the presidential election, Clinton does damage only to herself. When, during the election, Trump suggested he might not accept the result if he lost, Clinton called it “horrifying.” Did it ever occur to her that she is now committing the same “horrifying” act she so vehemently condemned? Jarrett thinks Clinton's gracious concession encouraged Trump to respond magnanimously but warns that when the recipient of a gift "exhibits a conspicuous lack of gratitude," that gift might be taken right back.

We will see.

I think Hillary Clinton lost about 75% of her significance. She's done and she knows it. Trump knows it too and unless she pulls something REALLY stupid or unless something directly incriminating comes up I figure he'll be content to just let her fade away.

I hope Hillary is indicted and the Republicans turn her into a martyr, facing a kangaroo court full of misogyny and partisan hate.

Meanwhile trump is considering Patreaous for SoS, even though he pled guilty to stealing Top Secret info from the Pentagon and giving it to his lover.

The worst thing President Trump could do is make the Clintons relevant again and sympathetic to boot. Have Republicans learned nothing from the over the top persecution of President Clinton??

The American voters plunged a stake into the heart of the Clintons and buried them - don't resurrect them and give them new life.

The smart move for Trump would be to not go after Clinton at all. Just let her fade into irrelevancy.

Yes!!! Make her a martyr!! Turn her into a victimized woman, hunted by vindictive and petty political hacks.

Would make for great tv.

For what it's worth, neither Clinton nor her campaign asked for a single recount. They are "participating" meaning her lawyers are there. Which is smart, in fact if I were involved in Trump's team I would send lawyers too.

Patraeus is NOT the topic of this thread.

And you don't even have your facts straight. He pled guilty to a misdemeanor charge of mishandling classified material.

So if Clinton just doesn't follow through as we know trump would have if he had lost, trump will go after her legally.

Just another page out of trump's Nixon play book with his "enemies list"--pure blackmail.

trump is a 21st century schizoid Nixon man.

McConnell has his hands full with trump. I wish him well with trump and never thought I'd see that day.

McConnell broke with the tweeter-in-chief today on voter fraud and flag-burning, even though McConnell's wife, Elaine Chao, is slated to be trump's transportation secretary .

Greetings, Lutherf. :2wave:

Neither of the Clintons understand the term "fade away." Plus, don't forget Chelsea is waiting in the wings, and we have already kinda been pre-prepared for the "family dynasty" thing. I expect to see her running for a political office in NY soon, since she was born in 1980 and already meets the minimum qualifications for POTUS someday, and Hillary did take her as an observer on some of her trips as SofS. Whatever.

Funny how clinton got away with the same exact thing isn't.

Hillary didn't intentionally give Top Secret info to people she knew had no business seeing it.

This article connects the two--Petraeus and Clinton.

Trump gives Petraeus a pass - POLITICO

Petraeus pled guilty to knowingly leaking secret government files--and lying to the Feds about it.

He got off easy with a misdemeanor and his advice is still sought out in DC.

Since trump had his fans chant "lock her up", the hypocrite tweeter in chief interviewing Patraeus for SoS and threatening blackmail on Clinton for the recount should certainly disturb you .

However that will open be the case if she makes the wise decision to actually fade away. Both Clintons need to ride off into the sunset and shut down the slush fund known as the "Clinton Foundation". They also need to put a halt to their plans to incrementally work towards putting Chelsea in the White House. If the 2016 race proved anything, it is that the voters have pretty much had it with family political dynasties.

You spat that out so fast it became a half truth. He did not plead guilty to stealing top secret info nor was he convicted of stealing the info. He was entitled to that info. His crime was allowing his lover to access it, when she was not entitled. That is what he was convicted of. As for Hillary, she will not be tried in the halls of congress. If she is indicted, there will be a grand jury and partisan politics will have nothing to do with it. She broke the law and should be subjected to punishment just as Patraeus was.

While I think the Clinton's should face the same criminal justice that rank and file Americans face, I would be satisfied with the Clinton clan riding off into the sunset and into obscurity. One, Hillary's health problems(which she has been hiding during the campaign) would keep her from doing any real time, and two, if she was convicted, wherever she would be sentenced would be more of a federal country club then a prison.

Taking top secret info from the Pentagon so he can give it to his lover, is theft.

He should be in prison.

"Intentionally" lulz. You're right. It's an accident that the E-MAILS wound up on Anthony Weiner's computer.

Huma read her email on his computer.

Meanwhile Petraeus could have given Top Secret Pentagon information to a Russian spy who was sucking his dick in order to get our military info.

I definitely appreciate your point! My larger concern is justice--this is what must be served because we are a nation of laws.

I can't wait for the TIC (Twitter in Chief) to say that now that Hillary is part of the recount effort, he might reconsider indicting her.

Nothing more precious than a politician basing indictments on personal political grievances.

I'm not sure where you're getting some of what you've posted. Trump told his fans to chant "Lock her up!"? And has threatened to blackmail Clinton?

Hillary didn't intentionally give Top Secret info to people she knew had no business seeing it.

Sid Blumenthal would beg to differ.
