I've followed this judge for years and I've always felt he had the right perspective on things. I think Judge Napolitano would make an excellent judge that will rule in the vein of the Constitution and help reign in the power that has been ceded to the federal government and bring it back down to the states.

I think if Trump is going to nominate someone to scotus it should be someone with a longer shelf life.

While I like some of his rulings from his days on the NJ Superior Court - he's not shy about restraining the government and making the rules apply to them as well as citizens he doesn't have the right experience. He hasn't sat on the bench in 20 years and as far as I know has no federal experience at all.

You're not going to get a young SCOTUS nom.

I think you are quite right. If he were 10 or 15 years younger, I would be totally with you.

Suggestions like this remind me of reading about the different levels of Hell in Dante's INFERNO.

Possibly. I'm not sure how much younger you could get and still have someone with the experience, track record, and qualifications to be considered for the appointment. No spring chicken will make it.

A few of Trump's potential nominees are relatively young. I think William Pryor, Raymond Gruender or Don Willett would be brilliant choices as they're in their early 50s and have the backing of the Heritage Foundation. They would add some much needed diversity to the court (finally someone not from Yale or Harvard...).

I like to see (know this is a dumb way to pick people) him pick a solid female constitutionalist judge. More heads exploding from the left would be very amusing to me.

Or Mike Lee. That would make heads explode... Senator Lee could probably break William Douglas' record.

I am holding out for a great legal mind, one of those many great minds who currently assume that they are disqualified from the post because they are too good at the law and thus could never get confirmed.

The rules have changed, the American people following Trump have changed the rules.

We have got to fix this court, which will require that we massively upgrade.

Just wanted to set the record straight. This is a clip from 2012. The show was cancelled and as he has noted he has gone on to bigger and better things at Fox. He is the go to judge of choice on constitutional issues at Fox.

"Two of my former shows have been cancelled, and after each cancellation, Fox has rewarded me with more and better work. This cancellation--along with others that accompanied it--was the result of a business judgment here, and is completely unrelated to the FreedomWatch message."

I agree he would make a great SCOTUS.

What if he gives Harriet Miers another run up the flag pole?

The man is one step up from circus clown and would be a disgrace on the SC.

Just curious are you basing that on his tv persona or the way he actually when he was a real judge working in a real court?

I find him quite acceptable.

What I have seen of the man and listening to and reading his views.

That didn't really answer anything. Any specific criticism?

A far right libertarian hardly sends the signal to the nation to heal our divisions.

Nuclear option. Thanks Harry Reid.
