Sell me on "Making America Great Again"

If the Liberals would get their head out of there ass....you have to admit for most a real problem....stop listing to the lying liberal MSM BS who do not care about the truth....do a little research, called work....work not something most of them want to do....they would have discovered weeks ago the people of this country where way past being fed up and have had enough of the liberal elitist BS and CRIMINALITY. They want anyone except more of the same. THANK GOD that DJT has taken on this huge task of DRAINING THE SWAMP of both the criminal Democrats and yes Republicans! Thank about it…… what does this man get out of all this except his ego trip….. yes you must be driven…..and people who want to harm him comes with the task? He must really love this country and want to serve and truly believes he can MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN to take on this task at his age......when he has everything in family and fortune any one could ever want.

Think about it!!!

Hm...you make a good argument.

A economy thats had to be propped up with 8 years of zero interest rate policies is far from " healthy ".

Its a economy on life support and Millions upon millions of Americans understood that last Tuesday.

Its pretty easy to see through the Obama administrations BS jobs numbers, what was so alarming is the fact that our President was content with supplying that propaganda on a regular basis.

To the Left, ideology comes first, before truth and before the welfare of the American people.

That is the issue I have had with most arguments from the right..simultaneously rejecting and accepting statistics and never really forming a cogent assessment. The left has equally flawed arguments for other reasons, namely a constant barrage of PC ad hominems.

There's no flaw or lack of cogency in my arguments.

I guess one of the drawbacks of being loyal to the Democratic party over the last 8 years is the lack of depth when it comes to positive economic indicators.

The party approved narrative is to repeat one Superficial statistic ( unemployment rate ) over and over and hope that the American public is a naive as the Democratic party elite thinks they are.

Well, they're not and its really not that difficult to shoot holes in whats essentially propaganda

A economy that has to be propped up with 8 years of FED monetary stimulus is not healthy.

It sure would be nice if I could get on the Trump/Pence bandwagon. I am truly hoping that they are not the people the media has made them out to be and they genuinely care about the country as a whole. I am a centrist and I would much rather be excited about the possibilities under a Trump presidency rather than terrified, so sell me on it. What should I be excited about going forward under a Trump presidency and Republican Congress?

It's hard to say exactly what will happen, but Trump is already showing a will to be flexible and compromise. He has made it clear that he WONT dump millions of people off of Obamacare's increased Medicaid enrollment, neither will he repeal the part of Obama Care that prevents insurers from refusing coverage due to pre-existing conditions. But the reality is that NO Republican would have done those things.

Health care costs have continued to skyrocket since Obama Care was implemented, in spite of the 2+ trillion dollars that we spent to pay for a bill that was supposed to make health care more affordable. Also, millions of people on 2 of the 3 Obama Care plans cannot afford the high deductibles, and therefore can't afford to see their doctors!

Those are 2 of the BIG failures of Obama Care that need to be dealt with. Aside from that, most of the horrible things you heard that Trump Is going to do, are nothing more than politically motivated fear mongering. They said many of these things in 2000 and 2004 against Bush, but aside from the Iraq war(which was supported by Hillary even before Bush took office), none of those horrible fears ever happened. Here's links to the Obama Care affordability problems:

Well, I don't think anyone should have to sell you on anything, although I would suggest you attempt to cleanse yourself of the media demonization which began almost immediately after he secured the GOP nomination.

There is little evidence that he is actually a racist, or a xenophobe, and only a small basis that he is somewhat of an old male chauvinist rather than a true misogynist. It is more true that he is a nationalist in that he want's to bring life back to American industry, and cut back on things that might inhibit the job market for American citizens.

Crying that he took advantage of tax breaks and all the free trade agreement business advantages is merely proof of his business acumen; much like we individuals often take advantage of our tax breaks and the cheap goods those trade agreements brought in exchange for the jobs we used to have allowing us to afford costlier American-made products.

If you are really concerned I'd like to suggest three things:

1. Check out his 100 Day plan: Trump's First 100 Days: Here Is What The President-Elect Wants To Do : NPR

2. Look over his actual past involvement in liberal politics, and

3. Like any one else, give him a chance to actually serve and see what he does rather than fear things that haven't come to fruition yet.

What's even funnier about the left's criticism of Trump's tax situation, is that NONE of it was illegal, and ALL of it is designed into the tax code by the legislature, and the democrats did nothing during their tenures to close these tax loopholes!

What's even funnier, are all the uber-wealthy progressives who take advantage of these same loopholes, all the while ranting about rich people don't pay their fair share! Nobody forces them to use loopholes to pay less taxes, and they CAN afford NOT to take these take breaks, but they still pay tax accountants lots of money to find the loopholes! Hillary and Bill Clinton used the exact same loopholes that Trump did! Do you recall the media making an issue of pointing out their tax policy hypocrisy? Not really.....

Just the other day I was listening to a local progressive talk show host talk about how Jon Bon Jovi hired a beekeeper and Springsteen hired an organic farmer to do some beekeeping and a little farming on their large estates. What he forgot to mention was that they are doing their little beekeeping and farming in order to dramatically reduce their state property tax burdeons by many tens of thousands of dollars each year!

In fact, each of them pays under a few hundred dollars a year in property taxes, while their upper middle class neighbors pay $7,000-$9,000 per year for less than 1 acre, even though Bon Jovi and Springsteen own MUCH larger properties of many acres!

I'm not saying it was a bad policy change. I'm just saying its not something that we could call a raise.

Oh, but government will. Absolutely. They'll claim they increased the pay of millions of middle class workers by 50% or more.
