Pick yourselves up and start now, and I mean today. Use this time to find the best candidates, always keep talk about the next election front and center every time someone complains about what Trump is doing, and start building a new coalition. They will say a wave election for the left is impossible, but people felt that way about Trump winning. In two years you need to take back Congress and you need to be working for it from here on out.
 
But they won't. You're average American, especially democrats, have very little control over who their party puts on the ballot.

Perhaps they might develop a message that the majority actually wants to hear first. Top down, centralized liberal rule is what went down in flames yesterday. Getting better candidates to regurgitate the same old liberal crap wont help.

God, please no. I feel like there should be a moratorium on 2018 or 2020 election talk for at least a week.
