Hats off to Ohio's Kasich

John Kasich votes for John McCain.

It just goes to show that he is just another "stuffed suit" in the mainstream of "good ole boy" politics.

God I want a return to "good ole boy" politics.

If Palin is "representation of the future of the party" then it should be of no wonder why the party is splintered, dysfunctional, and headed into mediocrity.

Well, it makes a lot of sense, does it not?

That was one of the side notes regarding Palin's pick. Now, at the time, Palin boosters were arguing that not only was her spunk needed, but she was both reasonable and not beholden to party interests (most famously, the Gravina Island Bridge incident).

Over time that kind of faded away and what stayed was her folksy (but slightly incoherent and largely uninformed) speeches and her penchant to attack anyone in the Republican Party or not.

Joe the Plumber kind of started to represent the eventual average Tea Party American: some blue collar dude with terrible political skills and an even worse understanding of policy, boosted into prominence by their similarly uninformed peers.

Kasich would be clobbering Hillary right now. But the Republican's and their self-destructive behavior couldn't let that happen.

Kasich is busy having his pity party. It isn't as bad as Jeb but it is a pity party. If Hillary wins and Kasich and Jeb are in the mix in 2020 they won't get my vote for the primaries.

I won't be voting for them in the General either. JEB! will be as disgusting in four years as he was this year. Kasich really showed his spots though. If the GOP establishment were smart (and there's nothing indicating they are mind you) they wouldn't bother with JEB! or Kasich and would run Rubio instead of either of them: assuming Trump doesn't win this year.

It's Kasich's fault Kasich ran bad primary, at least during the second half when people started dropping off.

When a Bush has a pity party the entire family gets involved. It would be cute if these weren't grownups. In the case of JEB!, I wouldn't rule out that he's actually a child in a man's body though.

At least Kasich didn't fold like Ted Cruz did. I'm proud of him for that.

YUP ... Seriously lame to vote for a dude that has demonized your Wife and Father.

Did he think people would not understand ? Shows what a truly spineless worm Cruz is.

Not that folks that know about Cruz should not already realize that he was a piece of human garbage but, even those that knew nothing should realize what a joke this guy is after this latest 180.

Pathetic Thanks so much Johnny boy! You might as well just voted for Crooked Hillary!
This is the problem with the republican party.

The polling said he would have cleaned her clock.

But for all this praise of him when he's safely not a candidate, don't you worry -- if he had been the nominee, the Democrats and most of the media would let you know just how terrible and backwards-looking and misogynistic and racist and mean-spirited and awful he REALLY is . . . for the amount of time he was running for President, of course. Then, if he lost, he'd say something gracious, and they'd all suddenly be "where was THAT John Kasich during the campaign?????" And, of course, he'd be lifted up as a model compared to whomever the next Republican nominee is.

I know that this would happen, because I've watched it happen numerous times.

so toeing the party line is more respectable? Sounds more fascist to me.

I think Kasich is living in the past. Mccain isn't even running for office.

Do you know what a fascist is? When you throw around words like that you completely lose
what ever point you were trying to make.

You waited this long to reply with that? You should have just not bothered.
