With the earth shaking revelation yesterday from FBI Director Comey that he has some emails from somebody associated with Hillary Clinton I went through some of my own email records. I discovered an email from somebody who worked for somebody who knew somebody who once was in a restaurant where Hillary Clinton was supposed to have stopped to use the rest room on a campaign swing in 2008. The email mentions the Cinton incident and even quotes Clinton apologizing for "stinking up the place". I imagine the Trump campaign could use that admission against her. It very possibly could swing the election.

As a patriot who wants the American people to have all the information necessary to make a good decision in the current election, should I notify the FBI and turn over the email so that they announce it to the public while they determine if it is of a significant nature and even warrants anything beyond them most cursory glance?

No. Absolutely DON'T notify the FBI about that email. But if you could change your story up a bit and claim Hillary Clinton molested you, it'd be helpful...

No, just... no.

All you are asking for is trouble.

Some things are just too painful Maggie. :( So lets leave it at that.

If this email is somehow relevant to an ongoing FBI criminal investigation, then, yes, turn it over,

If you meant this as a humorous way to discredit the FBI rationale for re-opening the original email case against Hillary by acting like the reason was invalid? You certainly missed the point.

This is not some fourth hand source with no credible connection to Hillary Clinton. This is the husband of Hillary's right-hand aide, and the emails are from this aide apparently containing primary source materials showing Clinton lied about knowledge of the security clearance levels of emails on her unsecured private server.

That people without either proper clearance or a need to know (including a disgraced former Congressman) retained such information on their unsecured systems. That Hillary's aides also lied about this.

So, yeah...if your third cousin twice-removed had a friend who forwarded classified information via emails through five unsecured channels where no one had clearance and need to know? It would be important evidence sufficient to reopen a criminal investigation and should be reported. :coffeepap:

It's ironic that you try to use irony to discredit legitimate action, are caught at it, then try to pretend it was all only a simple joke.

Legitimate action? Can you tell us what was legitimate about the director of the FBI releasing a statement about emails that he admitted he has no idea as to their significance when the man is intelligent enough to understand that him doing so could possible impact if not change a national election less than two weeks away?

Tell me what is legitimate about that.

This morning I sent a letter to Congress in connection with the Secretary Clinton email investigation. Yesterday, the investigative team briefed me on their recommendation with respect to seeking access to emails that have recently been found in an unrelated case. Because those emails appear to be pertinent to our investigation, I agreed that we should take appropriate steps to obtain and review them.

Of course, we don’t ordinarily tell Congress about ongoing investigations, but here I feel an obligation to do so given that I testified repeatedly in recent months that our investigation was completed. I also think it would be misleading to the American people were we not to supplement the record. At the same time, however, given that we don’t know the significance of this newly discovered collection of emails, I don’t want to create a misleading impression. In trying to strike that balance, in a brief letter and in the middle of an election season, there is significant risk of being misunderstood, but I wanted you to hear directly from me about it.

FBI Director Comey had testified before Congress that despite many clearly listed security errors on the part of Secretary Clinton, the investigation was over and no charges would be filed; essentially that there was "nothing to see here."

He then testified before Congress that if new information "that was both relevant and substantial" arose, he would re-open the investigation.

Why should he not report that he has re-opened the investigation?

Simply because people like yourself would prefer not to know anything that might upset your political applecart? You seem happy when negative information pops up about the candidate you oppose. :coffeepap:

Hillary Clinton's Emails: The Real Reason the FBI Is Reviewing More of Them

The truth is much less explosive. There is no indication the emails in question were withheld by Clinton during the investigation, the law enforcement official told Newsweek, nor does the discovery suggest she did anything illegal. Also, none of the emails were to or from Clinton, the official said. Moreover, despite the widespread claims in the media that this development had prompted the FBI to “reopen” of the case, it did not; such investigations are never actually closed, and it is common for law enforcement to discover new information that needs to be examined.

There is nothing legitimate about this and Comey is guilty of injecting himself into the closing days of a political election with information that even he admitted may not even be significant.

I have no problem with information upsetting the apple cart. As long as its there in the first place and Comey admitted he does not even know if this email has any significance.

Why did he not make that determination first and have that determination impact if he needed to make his statement? Would that not have been the prudent way to do this and keep the FBI out of a political campaign and even play a determining role in the election?

When did the FBI give negative information about the candidate I oppose?

And yet Comey's own letter stated that he is "re-opening the case". Which sort of blows the claim that "such investigations are never actually closed".

I also find it ironic that before this so many Hillary supporters claimed "case closed" and now they're saying "such investigations are never actually closed".

I find it even more ironic that Hillary supporters fully supported Comey in his initial decision, and now they're claiming foul play by him.

And yes, before you play the partisan card, I find it just as ironic that those that are against Hillary first supported Comey, then rejected him after his initial announcement of not recommending charges, and are now going "hell yeah!".

Me, I'm just waiting for more info on this.

Hillary Clinton's Emails: The Real Reason the FBI Is Reviewing More of Them

Newsweek report, more MSM damage control of their chosen candidate IMO.

Why don't we wait and see just how this evidence affects the "ongoing never-closed reopened" case.

Meanwhile, it is a fact that the "ongoing never-closed reopened" case investigation is now publicly known to be actively ongoing, when everyone had been told it was closed.

So if there is "nothing to see here," why worry about it? :coffeepap:

I have two simple questions for you

1- Is Comey a smart man who in all likelihood understood that he wasting off a bomb in the closing days of a charged political campaign with this very public revelation?

2- Why would he do this if did not yet know if he had nothing of significance to offer in these emails?

It does not bother you that the director of the FBI interjected himself into the closing days of a hotly contested political campaign when by his own admission he has no idea if the emails he will examine contain anything of any significance is on them?

Is Comey the only clueless man in America who did not think what a bomb he was throwing into this campaign with his actions?

First off..."Patriot" is a dirty word now. Stop it. Might as well call yourself a racist.

Second...you don't notify the FBI, you notify Hillary's campaign manager. There's a good chance you'll receive a check to keep your mouth shut.

...and somehow lost in all this partisan-political angst is the core issue of the cavalier mishandling of Classified materials and information.

It isn't about the emails, boys and girls.
It's what was IN them.

Rest assured, if I (or any of my fellow team-mates who work for the government) sent or received Classified materials via a non-SIPR-Net email server, we would be under the jail by now.

And just when we had all concluded that Hillary was above the law, and was smugly assuming that laws do not apply to her, this happens.

Maybe there will be justice after all.
:)

The way these emails are being portrayed, the headlines would read. "New Email Revealed: Clinton Was Going to Meet Democratic Operative in a secret bathroom in 2008."

Lol......why dont you ask Hillary whats in the Emails ? She knows.

If she doesn't she could just ask her CLOSEST ADVISER what was in those Emails and then hold a press conference and fill the rest of us in

What ? Were you taken in by her failed attempt at damage control by demanding full disclosure from the FBI ?

:lamo " Because the American people demand it "

Comey's announcement about the emails was too vague. We deserve more information than what he gave us.

:lamo

Hillary could tell you EXACTLY whats in those emails and for whatever reason if she doesn't know she could ask Huma, then hold a press conference and fill the rest of us in.

The letter doesn't say that the investigation is reopen.

Instead it was the "liberal media" that trusted republican Rep. Jason Chaffetz (Utah) instead of reading the letter themself so they could see that the claim the investegation was reopen was fault. Think how angry Donald Trump would be if the media did that to him.

Why would she know what is in other persons emails?

Heck, if you took my emails from years ago, I could not tell you what was in those either.

Wel then she should ask Huma. It is her device they found the Emails on

Hmmm, really risky to contact the government. There are always those guys in trenchcoats from CHIcago and the black helicopters are still out there somewhere. But I think I might be able to come up with the telephone number to a Russian embassy or something. . . .
