I get it now!

"Few rioters". Hmmmm...also, you claim to be a Libertarian and you don't see the issues? One of the pillars of Libertarianism is private property rights, of which progressives/liberals have no respect for.

Trump is a protectionist...so...

I know what you are talking about. In your mind cooperation and compromise are bad foreign policy because they apparently subjugate American sovereignty to global interests as opposed to national interests. In your belief system "put America first" means put everyone else last. If the global community were a playground, you want America to be the kid who picks up the ball and takes it home.

In all due respect you don't know me or anything about me. So you have no clue what is in my mind and what I want. Your psychoanalysis needs quite a bit of work.

shrug...

You can look at numerous threads and posts to see where I stand. This thread doesn't do you any good in respect to me.

But yeah...I'm all for voting and I will vote.

If Trump wins, I predict I'll be much happier in 4 years than if Hillary wins. Heck, if Hillary wins...and does what she says she'll do in the first 100 days (not likely to happen) with respect to illegal immigration, I can absolutely guarantee I won't be happy.

You, I suspect, will love it if she wins. All your dreams will come true, right?

Nah. I don't agree with all of Hillary's policies, and I am more concerned about SCOTUS picks than the presidency.

I can't get Trump supporters to give me any other reasons for supporting him aside from hating Clinton or resenting some group. Help me out. Why do you support him?

You haven't been listening. Not sure what good it would do to try to explain it to you now. Just keep believing your own nonsense. Its much easier for everyone

It seems some people believe Hillary is more corrupt than Trump and that is interesting. I want to learn more about that point of view and the evidence they have to support it.

Sounds like I struck a nerve.

Examples?

Another example. Sometimes I can almost be tempted to vote for Trump just out of the sheer entertainment value I'd get from watching progressives/liberals be in a constant state of outrage for four straight years.

No...you don't really get it. That's definitely not where Trump is making gains. I'll give you a hint to start out, a significant amount of his support is a symptomatic response to an oppressive environment and the erosion liberty that has been created by progressives/liberals.

I don't really consider the Clintons/Obama Administration "liberal" per se, let alone progressive (the two aren't mutually exclusive anywho).
They would be more accurately classified as Centrists with Authoritarian tendencies.

Any criticism of Obama is because you're racist. Any criticism of Hillary is because you're sexist. Any criticism of X policy is because you're an disgusting -ist of some kind or bigot or just a terrible human being and we will riot, harass, intimidate, assault, and damage private property.

Pretty much all of this.

I am sure. Until he royally screws up, which he will, and you have to listen to liberals/progressives gloating for years.

Nope. Quite the contrary. You just exposed a serious weakness in your argument if you even have one.

Cool. Exploit it. My argument isn't very good if that is all it takes.

Well, I'm of the opinion we are screwed regardless so I may as well be entertained. And, of course, Trump has been a Democrat longer than a fake Republican so

I don't consider them liberal, either. Just using it out of modern common usage and laziness. I'd normally go with neoliberal.

I know! Oh my god! If you had told me Hillary would be the free market candidate a couple years ago, I would have called you stupid.

They already do, hence why the splitting of the GOP is inevitable, just as will be for the DNC in the not too distant future.

Yup. The DNC is going to have to go through what the GOP is right now, a general case revolt against the political elites and their bad governance and leadership. Why else would a socialist such as Bernie get as far as he did? (Only to be torpedoed by the DNC leadership and staff) The GOP is just a little bit further ahead of them in the process.

After this is all done (if it turns out right), the country will be in a better place, and the political parties will be in a better place, and the electorate will be in a better place too.

Not a path to open and honest discussions. Where is all the often preached but never seen tolerance of different opinions?

And I might even agree, at least if we were mature enough to break up the Parties without getting stupid. Unfortunately I have little faith in anything going smoothly and in the end we may eventually end up in a better place, but from what I see the transformation will not be painless or smooth. Hang on, it is going to be a very bumpy ride.

It is a mythical creature that never existed but is fun to pretend that it did.

Well, think about it. They complain when factories are built in Mexico which generate jobs South of the border and they complain that Mexicans come up North to get jobs when there are none in Mexico. I think they'd be perfectly content, however, with starving out the Mexicans.

Hillary is no angel. Example, she baited Trump with a comment on a Miss Universe contestant from two decades ago and he took it and gave a terrible, embarrassing response. Then when he had the chance to wave it off, he doubled down on it the next morning. But she had counted on it and released a campaign ad of that Miss Universe that she had filmed a month ago. She led him around like a puppy dog. Between a bitch and an easily manipulated toddler, I will pick the former. If Clinton can play him that hard, imagine what Putin will do.

I'll take the capitalist over the socialist.

THAT'S the joke. No matter how bad...evil...retarded you think Trump is, he might STILL beat Hillary. That's just how distasteful that hoe is! Shame on you democrats. This is your golden opportunity and you're about to BLOW IT. You were given all the answers to the exam, but your candidate showed up rocked up on bath salts. Trump is the little league batter brought in to face the best pitcher in the league...but then you replace the pitcher with a paraplegic. Fail. Seriously...fail.

I've said this in plenty other threads: I'll vote for Kim Kardashi...wait....I'll vote for Katy Perry before I vote for Hillary. I'll vote for a dead cat before I vote for Hillary. If I have to hold my nose, and close my eyes at the polls to vote for Trump JUST SO Hillary loses, I'll do it with a smile on my face. That hoe belongs in prison.

Yeah, I can see your perspective on this, and respect it. Heck, for all I know, you will probably be proven to be more accurate than I. But there's always hoping I guess.

But I'd like to think of it this way, in most any other country, with this level of upheaval, this level of change, at the highest levels of political power, most other nations would have to have a bloody civil war with gunfire in the street and the military out in force, as the political elitists try to hang on to power, by hook, crook and the end of the barrel of a gun. At least it appears that we'll be spared this level of death and destruction, and that, is what I think is pretty amazing about America. It makes America something unique in the world, and something to cherish.
